Will my second account actions effect my main account?

Hey guys!

First of all I want to say that I'm new to this site and I'm very impressed by all the people who are making the most out of Instagram&Co!
Please excuse my english, I'm not a native speaker...

I have an 2 years old main account with 13,8k followers where I only post my photography (landscape stuff). I know thats not a lot followers but all of them are real - Every post gets between 1.5k-2.5k likes.

I've also an 1 year old second account where I now want to post nature/ landscape stuff from other photographers. The account only have 300 followers, because I've never made use of it. Now I want to get the buisness started with follow/unfollow and likeing other photos (the stuff everyone is doing).

My question is:
I use both accounts on the same phone - so will the actions/spamming on my 2nd account affect my main account in a bad way? Like when my 2nd account getting banned for spamming will my main account get banned too? I have the fear to lose my main photography account with 13,8k followers..

I have this same question.

I know you are allowed 5 accounts per phone. So if they allow the accounts, as long as the accounts aren't being used to help each other, they shouldn't ban the whole phone. If you start intermingling the accounts by doing S4S stuff, yes they will probably both get banned

However, manual accounts on your phone should be reserved for high quality accounts, not spam accounts. Run spam accounts from your computer via a bot.

But manually following and following will usually not get you banned if start slow and keep the numbers pretty normal.

I've had accounts banned on my phone, not affecting my other accounts on the same phone. The accounts on my phone are not interacting with each other.

Do you use the same IP always? If yes, then this is the reason I think.

I'm changing from cellular to different WiFi networks multiple times a day depending on where I am. I don't see how this is related to my accounts not affecting each other? They are all connected on the same device...

You should use phone number seperately for each account. I think it's better.

Yes I think I'm going to use my main account only on my phone and try to get my followers up manually. The other account I will use on a second phone and then try to get my follows and likes up by automating the process with a software on my computer... I hope with this technique my main account will be safe!

That's a good plan. Keep your main account safe and run other accounts via bot.

I've never had an issue with an account affecting another FYI. I've had some accounts get disabled (still not sure why) but I've always been able to get them back and they didn't affect my other accounts.
