Is it possiblle to auto remove duplicate domain when identified a platform or create a new project to removed it? Is it good to have many urls with same domain? since I've integrated in my GSA global lists and the lists become bigger but fill in with many duplicate domain so I have manually dedupe it in GSA.

When you create a new project, just select the "remove duplicates" option at the top, then choose the folder you want to remove duplicates from. The software will check that folder in intervals and remove duplicates.

Yes, I already create a new project with remove duplicates once, but I think the software just remove duplicate URL but don't remove the same domain, correct me if I wrong. Here I highlight my cut lists that the same domain is still present.

No, currently its only removing duplicate URLs (unless you use the dup remove in the tools menu)

We can probably add an option to remove duplicate domains to the new project window.

I was going to ask for the same function as this would make it more of a self evolving machine which would be awesome...and fpf was going to be the tool I was going to reference as well.

Also adding my vote for moz/da/pa check support if it isn't there already, as I'm just about to buy it and check it out for myself. I was just made aware of this tool the other day, guess I'm a bit out of the loop lately...but the general idea of this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy already!

Sorry if this is already built into the software, I'm on holiday and haven't used it for 2 weeks so can't remember.

Is there anyway for GSA PI to try to sniff out new footprints while it sorts through the links? I have seen other tools that do something similar but it would be handy if it could be implemented in PI.

If it presents an issue with speed then maybe a tick box could be added to enable/disable the feature depending on the users goals. Being able to pull new footprints from already scaled links would help me out a bunch in my scraping operation.

If this is not possible perhaps it could be an idea for a future program?

Cheers

Shaun

Well someone else has asked me for that feature before, but it would require quite a bit of work. Currently, Pi is just checking for certain lines when detecting an engine, but if it needed to come up with footprints it would have to grab everything from the page, compare it between all imported URLS, detect the frequency, then you would need another window to manually review the footprints and check the results count against Google, etc. I mean its kinda out of the scope of what this software was designed for, but I think it would be pretty cool to make another stand alone tool for it.

Sven already has part of the code for it in footprint studio, but we're using 2 different versions of delphi so its not a simple transfer of code. A stand alone tool would actually be easier to make for that.

The footprint tool I've been using is called Footprint Factory. It can gather a lot of footrprints, but can be a little buggy at times. It does get the job done though. Maybe we can work on that footprint tool after the next tool that's coming :)

It will require quite a bit of work to get the software doing that footprint feature so its something we're waiting on.

Moz PA/DA was added, but its temp disabled. We had to remove the ability to rotate free accounts because it breaks Moz's TOU. So you would only be able to add 1 free account or use a paid API account. We will be enabling that again soon.

When it is monitoring folders... does it keep track of what it's processed or does it just keep processing the same files (making dups) until you turn it off?

Yes, it keeps track of what its monitoring and doesn't process the same files over again. I responded to your same question on the support forum :)

Hi there

Wow, things are really quiet here ... I bought the product and am slowly finding my way around this, the input on the thread has been very helpful. But I wanted to ask if the moz api is still disabled?

Hi,

The Moz API works, but you're only allowed to use one account at a time. Moz requested that we remove the account rotation because it breaks their TOU's so we had to remove that unfortunately :(

I wonder if I can pick your brain a bit more? My 'noob-ism' might shine through, but I started trying to set PI up so that I'm sorting potential targets for T1 separate and then the rest. However, I then started worrying if perhaps the same url/s made both resulting lists, so I might be double submitting, if you see what I mean.
I suppose ser takes care of this automatically, if you are running an entire campaign from 1 list, it will not reuse?

No worries. SER will know if you have already posted to that website and won't sign up to it again unless you have the "allow posting on same site" option enabled in the scheduled posting options.
