When I have GSA SER, do I still need the platform identifier?

I am exporting competitor backlinks to get their referring urls, do I need to run these urls in this software in order to add into GSA SER target list?

No Pi is not required at all. SER can do this automatically if you go to options > advanced > tools > Import URLs (identify platform and sort in). Or you can just run the list through an SER project and it will sort them into your site lists that way.
