I don't think this works in today's world. In our business, networking is key to our success. Yes, sometimes it's nice to be a loner and away from the population to refresh your mind and take time off for yourself. But once we are refreshed it's back to business.

I don't think being a loner would effect your networking skill...
networking is the exchange of information or services among individuals, groups, or institutions;
while
loner is A loner is a person who avoids or does not actively seek human interaction. Prefers to stay in solitude.
You keep yourself in solitude and connect with people just for business purpose of networking for exchanging information.
