PS: No, don't ever be a loner. I've known people that suffered from solitude, that initially thought considering everyone else inferior and unworthy of their time was a real thing, but they ended up alone, and when solitude hit they got annihilated by it. Our strength is our community.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. I like doing things by myself occasionally, but the monumental moments, fun trips, and even little adventures are so much more worth it with my wife (and sometimes the dog or parents) along for the ride.

Yes, it's correct. Sometimes it's good to stay alone, maybe travel somewhere and have some time to recollect with yourself.
But this has not to be confused with living all the life this way.
