Amazon + instagram. will i get banned?

Hello everybody!

What if i redirect my domain to an amazon product wich contains my affiliate id, and i put the link in the description on my instagram profile? will i get banned?

Links on Instagram descriptions are not clickable.

The only clickable link is in your bio. Having such a link in your bio likely violates the T&C of Amazon (iirc look them up for social) and might get your amazon account locked.

You will likley get a ban. Especially after the first sell when they come to check out your site and audit were links are coming from. I would put a link to a you own site and change it when you do a new promotion to a sells page.

Yeah most big companies like that do not allow social traffic, but ask them.

Would be better sending them to your Micro Niche Site or just make a eCommerce store and send them to that.

You could set up a small amazon affiliate site that abides by the affiliate agreement, then use a 1 second delayed page redirection, making sure to also use this page URL in your content.

Then use that page URL on Instagram. This will show the Instagram traffic as coming from your website to amazon.

Instagram >> yourdomain.com/offer >> Delay >> Redirect >> Amazon

If you do it smart, like dandan said you won't get banned. But there are better ways to have higher ROI.

Spamming aff links is sooo 2009.
I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, people may do what they want.
However my advice these days is to focus on building a brand, becoming an authority.
1) Your accounts won't be banned, because you are completely WH (from the outside).
2) You have a stable long term income.

Yes it will take more time, and yes some people will tell you that WH stuff doesn't work lol.
Heck with them.

My goal is to build my own brand. I got approved by Merch by amazon, and i would like to promote my own t-shirts. but i can earn some extra cash if i do it trough my affiliate link. ( i have already asked the amazon support, they have no problem with it)

If you use 0 second delay it basically acts the same as a straight redirect.

This would show amazon that your traffic/clicks are coming from Instagram, with the delay your site would show as the referrer.
