Instagram Picstures Or Videos?

Whats more effective or will get more eyes on it, pictures or videos?

I noticed that atleast for me I usually get 400-550 likes a picture, when i piosta video it get between 1500-2000 views?

I was thinking about putting a watermark website for a website in my videos and hoping for the best

well, since IG doesn't offer views on pictures you can't really compare both imo. Out of 1500 people who watch a video, maybe only 200-300 liked it.

but, videos tend to catch the followers for a longer period of time, meaning that if you get the same amount of views on both videos and pictures, depending on what you are trying to achieve video could be better. In 15 seconds you could basically tell people what you probably couldn't in one picture.

I guess this depends on the niche, but editing videos is much more of a pain than pictures.

It depends, you can't say pictures are better or vice versa.

Okay right makes sense, anyone sell on isntagram and do videos promoting their product?

For me, pictures get more likes but videos pull more followers. I post a mix of them on my account for best results.
