Most of europe does not sound much better than where you are now...
Why not consider a more upmarket south american country? Panama, brazil, mexico... or even jump the boarder into the USA if you think you can stump the trump when he gets made king.

lol what? No european country has such high crime or low minimum wage.
Eastern Europe is a good option. Cheap and safe with good internet.
Looks like you've never been in Europe.
OP., think about Portugal, your passport will make things much easier. Average salary in Portugal is about $1000, so I guess you'll need something like that to survive month.
I wouldn't suggest moving to serbia or bosnia and herzegovina, they are not members of EU. With reason.

I love Spain, Barcelona is one of my favorite cities. However, it's not cheap there. So unless you can make at least 1,000 euros/month stable, I wouldn't recommend it. I've been told that Portugal is not expensive in terms of food/basic needs. But I think rent is not that cheap there, maybe at least 400 euros/month, like anywhere in western EU. I live in Prague, and I think there are many opportunities for expats here. Expenses are not that high either. I think you can survive for $500/month.

If you make money online I would stay away from many countries in Europe. Better move to Damascus...can't be that many people left there at the moment...

I think Tuscany would be a best place for you . I have a villa there and during summer holidays I go there to work . The song of birds and other natural sights make working on laptop tireless.
Thr place is also free from many refugees which is great. The expenses are quite high but is worth it and money is meant to be spended .
If you have some more money after rent and personal expenses you can rent a boat too for other adventures . I personally go there to work and enjoy , working there is shadow of nature is amazing !

Go to Portugal it is cheaper than most western European countries

One of my friend is married to a guy from Venezuela. They are living here in Germany now since 7 years.
He has a good job (IT) , nice family here but he is very unhappy with the life here.
I think you should first travel around Europe ..Find for yourself which place, country you would like to live ..

Go to Slovenia I have been to all of the countries but little Slovenia is the best I think, and people have no ego there as far as I could observe.

I lived in Germany for two years and France for 3 years. But I really liked staying in Germany. But this is really your personal choice. What I found that useful is try to find out what working skill you have and then try to find where these skills can be utilized better? If you don't then you may go somewhere and won't find a good job that you hoped for so research more and then decide.

Like someone mentioned before, I'd recommend moving to a country thats close to where you are currently. Unless you have mad cash saved up, I wouldnt make a trip to Europe to start a new life. If you fail, then what? You'll be worse off than you are now. I'd put Europe on your long term goal list... and for the short term, move to a country close by that can provide better opportunities for you. If you fail... at least you're close to home. You know?
However... you should also consider swallowing your pride and contacting the family that you have over there. I understand your need for wanting to do this on your own, but theres no shame in asking for help if its to better your life. If the situation is that shitty where you currently are, ask for help from your family in the form of shelter/food while you get on your feet, and then make sure to make it up to them once you are established. Good karma flows both ways. Good luck man.

Yes, Venezuela is very hard place to breathe, I've a girlfriend there few years ago and she finds it very difficult to receive money via bank or western union, distance to receive moneygram is like travelling to Mars with a car, she virtually complains of everything. However, if your mom is Portuguese the best bet is Portugal cos you already have their Passport which makes you an automatic citizen and you will get preferential care. Portugal is a Schengen state so with time you can explore other 25 countries at your leisure to know which best fits you... In the nutshell, is good you travel to a country you have friends or family you know to give you directions and how things works but a hustler can go anywhere and survive, so far you gat faith that you will make it even if you find yourself in Somalia. lol

There were just bombings in "safe" Europe tonight. Europe will be the new Middle East soon, yayyy.. anyways, I suggest moving to Latvia or smth.. even the refugees don't want to live there and should be safe. If you make money online you will live very comfortably with like 1000€/month (if you are alone and don't need to pay any debts).

Come to Bulgaria. The government doesn't care for you a lot, so you won't be troubled. 10% flat tax rate. Everything is cheap, the wages are lower, but you get a decent payment as a software developer and there is a need of these people. Dollars are doubled here so if you make online income, you will live well. Local crime isn't much, only mafia. Food is cheap, transport is cheap, everything is beautiful.
