I recommend you not to go for for free hosting as it will provide very limited options, better you purchase a low specs hosting. Which you can purchase at low cost

Freebostia offers free tld hosting but of course the usual slower site speed drawback plus a max 10mb MySql space. Like someone above said, yould be better off finding a low spec hosting for $4-$5 a month

yes agree with you there - hosts like blogger are ok, it sounded like OP wants an actual host though - ie file hosting etc. If that is the case I would tend to avoid them....
