Instagram + Authority site journey $300/day

Hey guys, I'm a college dropout. No, JK... hahaha. Anyway, it took a bit of brandy and some deep soul searching before I worked up enough balls to start this thread. I'm not new to SEO or IM as I've been doing this sort of work for the past 4 years. The only problem was I wasn't doing any of the work to build something for myself. Most of the IM work I did was to help other people build their empires. I guess what I'm saying is... It's my time! What I've learned throughout the years is to keep it simple, and that's exactly what I'm going to do with my journey. My plan is to build a niche authority site and promote it through Instagram/Twitter/etc... Of course there are work to be done on the SEO side, but for simplicity sake, I'll keep my updates specifically to just IG and my authority site.

Tasks I've already finished:
1. register a domain/hosting/wordpress
2. 4 IG accounts
- 2 in niche specific, and 2 in niche that I believe will be viable for cross-marketing
3. Warmed up the IG accounts (ie, posted some scraped pics, followed, and liked)

Planned tasks:
1. Test out Instagress after my IG accounts are at least a week old
2. SEO-ify my authority site
3. Rest/workout/lift/go to my day job

Goal:
1. 500K followers on each IG accounts by end of June 2016
2. $300/day passive income by end of March 2016
3. Scale my IM venture

I'm dedicating 5hrs/day to this. That means, in addition to working my day job (8+hrs), I will be waking up extra early and perhaps going to bed very late at night. Here's to all you wonderful people on BHW.

You do realize you need to get ~70k followers per month to reach your goal.
I have never heard of anybody getting that much unless youre a celebrity or already have like 500k+ to begin with.

If you do get 500k followers each account total 2m followers, let me just say you can make a lot more than $300/day.

Aim for the stars and land on the moon. You're right, I've got to be realistic. But I set unreal expectations for myself so that I am always pushing myself 100%. Plus, I have some leverage, so hopefully it'll work out in my favor. Thanks for the support!

Wow, time sure flies. It's been a little over a week since I've updated this thread. I went ahead and purchased followlike (it's an impressive bot). For the best results, I speculate that there's no general template/formula. I'll probably have to do a lot of A/B testing to see which ingredients will satisfy my niche the most.

Here's a screenshot of FL running. Currently I don't have any proxies yet, and I'm running all my accounts from my server's IP.

All in all I spent about $150 so far: $100 for FL, $30 for a tracfone (PVA), and $7/mo on a VPS. I'm in the warm up phase right now. Planning on adding another 5 IG accounts to the list soon.

I haven't gone all out, yet, when it comes to analyzing the progress of my accounts. However, I do believe that effective hashtagging in IG is important to gaining followers (along with the usual sexy pictures here and there ). Anyway, I'll keep you all posted. Have a good one!

Using hostwinds tier 1 windows VPS.

I'm just warming up my accounts right now, so the settings are low. 200-300 follows/day, 200-300 unfollows, setting the delays to 30-40 seconds. I'll post something a bit more thorough when I get down and dirty and start really testing and pushing the limits.

Time for another update. I've cranked up the following settings on the majority of my accounts. Setting them to 600-700 follows a day. I'm getting anywhere from 50-110 followers per day on my accounts. I'm doing the follow til the limit (~7,000) tactic, and then purging for a a few days. Then rinse and repeat. The goal is to have each account at 2,000k followers by the end of next week. Still tweaking this around to see which FL settings will give me even better results.
