is content still the king ?

I dont really think content matters to be honest because if you think for a second how many TOP sites/blogs you see that have the dumbest cotent? well i see a lot of them backlinks are important, loads and loads of traffic and monetization is the key... Content was never important to succeed

Yes back links are very important so you do have a good point there. And some sites really do have dumb content :)

Ya content is always king if it is unique, good readability, high quality, deep research, different information than other sites.

I'm curious what you use to measure readability. Ever since G removed the Flesch Kincaid reading score from their search tools I have been using the fixtext(com) tool to make sure my articles are readable and modify their problem areas. Is there a standard tool out there for helping with readability?

yes. content is still the king and wont be demoted soon. Quality will always matter to most people. for the king to work better he needs good subjects to help him and carry out his commands. that is why you have to utilize using links on this content to complement each other. by this I believe anyone could get better results. thank you

It is the talk of the town for quite some time now. I heard that content remains supreme. Im still not sure tho.

Yes quality does matter. It should matter to everyone but some seem to think that they can get by with so so content.

Content will always have a place in whatever time we are in. The higher quality it is, the more positive people will respond to it. But I don't think we can definitely say it is "king" and more important than other things.

I found readability-score (com) in a SERP. It is good. You get to see all the statistics of your content and also your readability score based on Flesch Kincaid, Gunning fox, coleman leo etc. you can edit and see the changes too.

Content is king vs backlinks.

Doesn't it all depend on what your goals are?

If you are wanting to build a long term authority site (this is the Whitehat SEO forum, after all), then you'd definitely want solid content. Still needs links, either organically or induced, with long term preferably being more organic.

Short term projects are much less dependent on content quality. Just needs to be "good enough" to meet your needs. For churn and burn, how much content is required for a good landing page? Traffic can be driven in a number of ways not reliant on a website's content.

Content is a fundament part of SEO and is considered "king". Perhaps because HQ contents lessen the bounce rate, acquire social shares (which is also deemed to be a fundamental part of SEO) and convert readers to paying customers.

But content alone wont rank your site. You still need links to supercharge it.

I think if you want to make money quick and then forget about it, linkbuilding is the most important thing.

If you want to make the long run, a high quality authority site, good content, or awesome content is even more important than linkbuilding. Like some people are saying, you want to "make" fans.

Then again, why not both? content and quality backlinks? :p

nope, the content is not the king in 2015. Many people think that Content is the King and they FAIL. Promotion is the king. The Most promoted content get a lot of views, backlinks, shares :D and obvi, google ranking too!!!

Traffic Leaks sums it up.

You can still get some traffic with good quality content alone, if you pick good niches and keywords.

Content is, was and forever will be king as long as Google says so and as long as these blinded so-called "SEO gurus" promote this "message". *sigh :(

Content is always King...

Yes you can have both! It makes perfect sense to do both.

Content is Always King it depends upon How to Express Yourself Others OR Ways of Express Your Thoughts to Impress People's. :bouncing:
