Hey lewy I got a quick question regarding Inventory/Listing management, I got about 1,300 listings, 100 feedback and am pushing about 70 sales per month. I want to shred my listings and weed out the ones that are not working, how would you recommend I go abouts this?

If an item doesn't sell in 30 days, I don't list it again.

Hey Bro. Yes it could work for someone like you with 3000+ Positive feedback, But for someone like me who just started and have few feedbacks (In my case less than 100 since I just started the method last month). THANKS TO YOU!!!!

But if someone in my situation gets even 1 neutral or negative feedback can effect ALOT I believe.
I personally lost 8 bucks on an order because the price gone up on amazon but l preferred to pay it out of pocket rather than get a negative feedback; Also, few days ago I got an order which I've been listing it in very first day of starting the Method and when I got the order I found out it's out of stock on Amazon. I contacted the buyer, apologized for being out of stock and told him my supplier misinformed me and used all those technics that you thought on the first post. but at the end, customer wasn't exactly happy with the situation and I had to send him 3 emails back and forth to calm him down. I consider myself lucky that he didn't left me any negative feedback.

So I guess a tracking software would be a GREAT help but I haven't found anything myself or they were so expensive.

On that order that you gave refund and canceled the transaction did you get any defect on your seller rating for canceling an item and choosing the reason for it being out of stock? Or did you choose something else for your cancellation reason to avoid getting a defect on your seller rating?

Refund them through Paypal, cancel on eBay. Done. eBay fees are refunded. How is this so difficult for people to figure out?

Ok did my first return and refund. I went first to Paypal and did full refund there. Then I went to Ebay and on the item in question selected "Cancel Order" and on the next screen I had a drop down menu for the reason of cancel and only two options:

1. I'm out of stock or can't fulfill the order for another reason.
2. The buyer asked to cancel the order, or there's an issue with the buyer's address.

Since it wasn't the first option I selected option 2 and hit continue. On the next screen it indicated that my request was complete and that I would get my FVF's credited back to my account within 24 hours. In the email I got the following:

"You canceled an order from XXXXXX, and we already notified them. You already refunded the buyer for this order, so you're all set. Thanks for canceling this order for the buyer.

You'll get a final value fee credit in your account that you can apply toward listing more items to sell on eBay. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours to post the Final Value Fee credit to your account."

So I guess that is pretty much it correct? The buyer doesn't need to confirm the cancel request or anything and FVF will get back to me correct? It is weird that I did not get the rest of the reasons like you would get typically when doing a cancel. I guess since item was shipped already these are the only 2 options for cancel that is available. Are these the only 2 options you get as well when you cancel orders on Ebay?

I hit the fasttrack with this method somehow... Lewy was completely right though, As you list items, it will probably take a few months to figure out what works... Remember he said he put himself through college which took a few years... Im sure it took him more than a few months to find a winning combination of items..


Im now at like day 65 and at about 8K in sales. After the first 30 Days i went through all my listings.. sorted them by date, then by watchers, then by viewers.... after 30 days anything that had under 50 views... i took the listing down. To me, thats not enough interest to garner me keeping it active.


HOWEVER I do have a few items that i have listed that have less than 50 views (some less than 20) that have actually sold a unit or two. In these cases, I keep those items up.... Its really a matter of preference though.


Ebay just had a promotion from the 11th to the 17th where they gave 500 free listings of any kind so i used that to post up more new listings and to replace the things id taken down for new ideas.


Pretty much rinse and repeat until i have a solid few hundred listings that sell regularly... I'm currently averaging about 3-5 sales a day. Sometimes it will drop off for a day, but i haven't had 24 hours pass without at least getting one sale.... for at least a month


One other note to add is i have about 300+ listings up... but maybe only 15-20 of those listings have actually sold... some multiple times.

Wow.. You gave me an eye opener.. I have many listing with over 50 views and just a few watchers, but they never sale.. I might have to tweak the price or title. I also recently just receive the 500 free listing... It ended a few days ago and now ebay is giving me another 1000 free listing.. When I Received the 500 free listing I went HAMMED started listing like crazy. One guy who I talked to said to work smarter not harder, and I'm going to take his word for it. He has 75 listing, and he already profited 600 dollars. Yesterday he profited 290 dollars off of just one item.. LOL, I have 500 listing and so far profited only 105, so you can see my frustration in this.. I know this works; it's just a matter of time and researching what sales. I want to offer all my listing with 1 buisness day, so I can receive the top rated seller plus badge on all my listing.. I believe that will boost up my sales, but I really don't want to risk it.. What is your price range when selling? 65 days with 8K in sales is not bad... And I wished I had 3 to 5 sales a day, it would definitely change my mood..

i looked through a popular dropshiper's account and noticed they were selling everything at a $2-3 margin. how do they make any money this way? selling fees alone would wipe out the profit.

what i did spot is that they were using Standard Shipping instead of expedited. is it possible they're reshipping everything to avoid amazon sales tax?

EDIT: nvm, i see they're charging sales tax. they're also leaving themselves an 11% margin on all goods. ebay business fee of 9% + some shady merchant account with low fees and you could probably leave yourself a .5%-1% margin and then scale everything up. i suppose this is the ultimate state of dropshipping

I've doing this Method (dropshipping from Amazon to eBay) for almost a month now.
I've provide EVERY tracking number until now. all of my feedbacks are Positive feedbacks I have no Negative, Neutral feedback nor any complains or open case.... NOTHING!

Why I got to this situation?!!

What am I supposed to do?

after WORKING SUPER HARD for a month to build this account just start making profit some profitable Niches recently.. and now this is happening to me

interesting, i wonder how they caught your account.

if i were you i'd send them the proof of delievery/feedback. if they still insist on getting the purchase invoices, i'd just take one of the amazon recepits, multiply quantity by a hundred, and put down a fake business name and address. hopefully they won't look into it

1. What should I do about that item proof of purchase (manufacturer's invoices or receipts) ?

2. I've already add tracking number to every purchased I've sold. What they want me to send them as a proof exactly?

3. Same thing with feedbacks?

am I really supposed to copy and paste my feedbacks & Tracking numbers results to a department within Ebay that's already reviewing my account?

Sorry if my questions are silly but I've never dealt with this kinda situations before.

Hey OP, great method. I've put some twists on it, built some automation tools and it's working out.

One thing that is bothersome is the sales tax on Amazon. It only happens for a few states but sometimes it's enough to ruin all profit. I'm thinking about applying sales Tax on eBay to make up for it. You can apply it to certain states using this tool: http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SellerSalesTaxTable

Is this illegal? Because the tax is being forwarded to Amazon. How likely am I to get in trouble doing this? I don't even live in the US, but it would be nice to know.

I didnt have a problem with my new account, I think go slow and build up! Thats what Im doing. I got a product of a rather low value (<5$) and sell it for around 3$ profit.
