Challange: $400 in 3 Weeks Using BTB's Facebook Method. Watch and Learn!

I'd say that the original method combined with Amazon or simply just reselling products from Amazon / eBay would make for great residual income methods. This depends on your niche entirely though.
You're probably right. I'm trying Clickbank at the moment but I reckon Amazon would be ideal for physical products.

Today I haven't made any posts because my VPS has been a piece of shit - I've been exchanging tickets with support all day and had to reset and reinstall the OS several times, but it still isn't doing it's job (this is with WeLoveServers if anyone's wondering). I'm going to sign up with a new provider tonight (possibly SolidSEOVPS?) to get this campaign started tommorow. I've got a good feeling that tomorrow will be my first sale, but we'll see.

I've been accepted into 10 groups so far and have wrote more lead ins. When I've had a mental block of what to write I've taken a look at posts that genuine users have written in similar groups and simply reworded them. The main difference I've made to my lead ins is instead of them being specifically about my news article I'm writing about other topics related to my niche, and only briefly mentioning my news article as a side note. This makes the comments look more genuine so less chance of being deleted, and I'm hoping that they'll still be pursuaded to click by using a relatively clickbait article title and image.

I'll update you all tomorrow with some stats. If anyone has any questions or suggestions then please don't hesitate to chip in :)

18 days to go...

Today's stats:

16 lead ins posted on Facebook
54 visitors to my website
12 clicks to my offer
1 conversion = $27.40

I got a sale - happy days! Especially as it's a rebill currently averaging a value of over $75.

I was hoping for more traffic to my website considering the number of lead ins. The sale I got was at around 3pm and was from a post where I was responding to comments. The other posts were made later in the day and no-one else has really commented on them so maybe that's why. There isn't enough data to really know. I'll get more data by making a higher number of posts tomorrow at a variety of times, and obviously writing more lead ins for them.

It's hard work but it should eventually pay off. That sale could well have been lucky but I don't care ;)

17 days and $372.60 to go...

This has gone really bad. I need to reassess the type of groups I'm posting in or the way that I'm writing my lead ins. It really doesn't seem all that complicated so I wasn't expecting to be struggling so much with traffic at this stage.

I think I've realised that there are 2 types of groups that I've been posting to. The first type is highly targeted, but there aren't many of these groups on Facebook. The second type is still highly related to the topic but not quite as laser targeted, although there are a lot of these groups on Facebook. I think (although can't remember for sure) that I was only posting to the first type of group on the day I got a fair amount of traffic. I know for sure that the sale I got was from the first type of group.

The plan:

  • Somehow harvest and join more of the first type of group. I need to test this, even if it means posting to a lower number of groups. My gut feeling tells me it's all down to the targeting.
  • Write more lead ins focusing specifically on these target groups.

I'm conscious that my deadline is steadily approaching and I haven't made a whole lot of progress, but I'm hoping that just a few good days will be enough to do some proper damage and bring in a decent amount of cash towards the target.

Also thank you to Freddyjames and PureHustle for the motivation!

This has gone really bad......

You know what, I didn't read the rest of what you said. You may have gone on to say the government arrested you.....if so I am on your side....

Here is your "problem", it is really simple:

You do not post in enough groups, or have enough links generated each day that point to your site(s).

Homework:

Figure out ways to increase your daily post count.

Extra Credit:

Act upon your homework.

Keep on trucking my friend! Although it totally sucks, in a way it's a good thing you're hitting a wall. Overcoming it is what will make or break you. And you've got Freddyjames personally mentoring you, you got this!

Thanks Freddyjames - the issue I have with that is that I currently only have two Facebook accounts left that aren't banned. I will have to buy more at some point but I think there may be more to it because the past two days I've been getting less than one website hit per group. Other people's journeys are getting more hits from one group than I'm getting from 25!

Thanks mate, I agree - there is going to be a pot of gold at the end of the tunnel once I get there :P

Take Freddy's advice. He's really helping point you in the right direction! You owe him a giant thank you!

Keep hustling, you'll get there!

So after having another shit day I'm going to take Freddyjames's advice and get my post count higher. It may be more spammy but here's the new plan:

  • I've bought another 10 Facebook accounts (still waiting on them to be delivered). This brings my total to 12, but I will be using 4 at a time due to restrictions on my MassPlanner account.
  • I've bought new proxies so that my new Facebook accounts will have unique IPs.
  • Once the new Facebook accounts have been delivered I will use my old Facebook accounts to invite the new ones into groups. This means if any of my old accounts get banned I will still be able to post in those groups with the new accounts.
  • I will write 30 lead ins.
  • I will post in each group 3 times a day (I was previously only doing it once a day). This is sure to get my accounts kicked from those groups for posting the same link over and over again, but with my new plan I should already have my new Facebook accounts in those groups ready to take over.

I think this will be a lot more spammy but the aim is to get more hits to my website. Throughout this I will also be joining 7 groups per account per day. If anyone has any feedback feel free to chime in, and thanks again to everyone for your help and motivation so far.

Not with fresh accounts you won't, unless you want to start hitting problems. Warm them up for a week first just adding friends, liking stuff, commenting once or twice at first and build slowly. Make each account look like it is a real person and is acting like one.

The accounts I'm buying are 1 - 2 months old so hopefully shouldn't be as easily banned, but I'll tone it down to be safe. Thanks again for all your advice so far buddy!

You have the right work ethic to persevere and overcome these obstacles that you are facing. It's good for others to see the specific challenges you've faced regularly, and the steps you've taken to alter your plans to adjust for these impacts.

Keep at it. Keep adjusting course as needed, and following good sound advice is awesome. Be sure to also base your decisions of how best to move forward on your past experiences to avoid making the same mistakes again.

This thread has been very good. I tried a while ago using a jacker plugin with massplanner to amazon products. I burned a few aged facebook accounts because i didn't warm them up enough, I only had a couple of lead ins and i spammed the hell of 200+ groups. It didn't go so well haha. I think I might try this again with my remaining accounts but this time be more careful.

Today and yesterday I have been implementing the plan from my last post (purchased and setup more Facebook accounts, increased the amount of posts I'm making to groups, and invited new accounts into groups that my old accounts are posting in). I ran into some more technical difficulties with my VPS (fuck WeLoveServers) but have sorted that out by getting a new one. However, the project still isn't going well for some reason.

Stats:
30 lead ins
110 posts
102 hits to my website
9 hits to my offer
0 conversions

I can't believe the lack of traffic I'm getting - pretty much only 1 visitor per post! I'm also not getting likes and shares that BTB and other people have been getting when they post. It must still be a problem with either my lead ins, group targeting, or niche. Problem is I'm really not sure which one it is. I've tried varying lead ins, I've targeted two types of groups that I thought would interact with my offer, and this is the second niche/website that I've tried.

Any advice? I'm leaning towards giving this another couple of days worth of testing (trying even more lead ins, posting in new groups) and whilst I'm doing that setting up a new website for another niche in case it doesn't work. I'm not going to give up but it is getting fairly frustrating - I just feel a bit stupid not being able to get such a simple method to work! :p
