I will wait for now, just to see what other people think and if it is good i will upgrade my windows :)

Hell yeah. Although I hated Windows 8 and never upgraded. I bought a new laptop/tablet specifically for it.

I'm using 8.1 as a home HTPC running Windows Media Center. Wondering if windows 10 will have a media center? I heard that microsoft was trying to get away from this area..

Users should be unafraid of upgrading because Windows 10 is hardly any learning curve, and the new bells and whistles alone are definitely worth checking out :)

If my Windows 7 is from torrents and I still reserved the key, will I slide thru and still get the Windows 10? xD

But from 4 c h an:

  • Do not use Express Settings during installation. Hit Customize, and make sure everything is turned off
  • Use a local account, and not a Microsoft account
  • Finish installing W10
  • Use Free alternatives to Microsoft's default software/services
  • Go to Settings > Privacy, and disable everything
  • In the Privacy page, go to Feedback, select Never in the first box, and Basic in the second box
  • Go to Settings > Update and Security > Advanced Options > Choose how updates are delivered, and turn the first switch off
  • Disable Cortana by clicking the Search bar/icon
  • Disable web search in Search by going to Settings, and turning off "Search online and include web results"

  • sc delete dmwappushservice
  • echo "" > C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Diagnosis\ETLLogs\AutoLogger\AutoLogger-Diagtrack-Listener.etl
  • Launch gpedit.msc as an admin
  • Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Data Collection and Preview Builds
  • Disable Telemetry
  • Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > OneDrive
  • Enable "Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage"
  • Launch regedit as an admin
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\DataCollection
  • Change AllowTelemetry's value to 0
  • C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc, then open the Hosts file
  • Add all the addresses from this link (http://paste2.org/A1sv86VF) into the file, then save it

When they said that Windows 10 will be free I knew there will be a catch :D Nothing is free!
Now I know it's free Windows + Malware + Adware xD

I upgraded it as soon as I could, as I am always excited about new version of windows. :D I didn't get the update in my update list so I had to force windows update to give me the update to download :D.

- Good stuffs in the new version
- crispier and cleaner look.
- Improved search.
- Snap view for multitasking
- Start menu back. I didnt have any probe with win 8 as I was using stardock start menu app in it.
- Games run better.
-----------
So far nothing crashed in my pc. I had prob with touch pad reversing the scrolling but it got fixed by reinstalling elan touch driver.
Good job by Microsoft to for making this big upgrade smoothly.

After bad publisity of windows 8 by the people who didnt want to learn new stuff, Microsoft actually neeed this badly.

It works great, I feel like using Windows 8 but different a skin.
