My site for SEO purposes is hosted on Hostinger.in with free hosting plan. So my question: Is it ok to run my site there on free host or should I pay some shared hosting?

Does it affect my SEO, although the speed is normal and don't have any down-times on the site?

If anyone had experience with hostinger.in would be great to hear any opinion on this.

I occasionally use free web hosts such as Freehostia and Awardspace for my new websites that I'm building up traffic to. As long as you're not getting too much downtime and the site sped is decent, there shouldn't be any problems with using a free web host.

I think the main problem comes when many visitors try to enter the site and then some visitors get 404 error page because of max connection limit. Otherwise than that, the server is stable.

Seems like a good host, will try out once my GoDaddy Hosting expires.

It's nice to keep the link profile diverse, including some free hosts as well as high reputation links. Just don't overdo one link strategy as that'll raise flags.
