Amazon Authority Website Journey to € 1000 a Day - 100% Outsourced

Hey Guys,

first of all I wanted to say great journey man I already learnd alot and you motivated me to start my first amazon site wish me luck with that one :).
I think you definetly will reach your goal! Wish you the best of luck.

I've got a question about the Google Keyword Planner Tool.
Yesterday I looked up some keywords for my Amazon Site.
So I picked out the keywords I want to use and wrote down the average monthly searches and the high peak on november and december.

Today I checked those keywords again and saw a significant drop in the overall search volume of the keywords.
For example one keyword had yesterday like "5k" average searches per month and today google keyword planner says "30" searches per month.

How is that possible? Has someone experienced something similiar aswell?

I hope someone could explain this to me because this is totally confusing me.

Thanks in advance

TheReviewSquad example is a really great way to get traffic, you can rank easly without many bakclinks because that content will target all possible long tails and you'll get a lot of traffic from it.
Regarding your question I can aswer saying that Macro niche websites need a lot of time to rank because you need to organize your content properly (this is really easy with micro niche websites).

If you've a lot of experience try to go for Macro website, if not try to learn from Micro websites :)

Thanks for replying!

I guess I'm gonna go with thereviewsquad style then (go big or go home lol). I definitely don't wanna do Micro niches because I get bored writing about one thing a million different ways. I was interested in Macros similar to yourself, but I'd need to spend to much time I don't have reading up on this silo method and I think my fave Macro (Electronics) would be too competitive to rank for against the likes of Gizmodo etc?

Dude you can't fail if you're able to target low competition SERPs with long high quality contents!
Well, I don't know anything about the US market but I can say that there is always space, even in saturated niches), you only need to find it (loooong tails) :)

Something big is moving because every single week until now mid-week traffic was always dropping but not this week :D
It will be fun to draw this improvement which almost totally depends on the link building activity!

As I was suspecting SemRush is really bad for the italian market.
I mean data are really incomplete. Just checked my website with an italian Seo tool and discovered 3000+ keywords from first to 5th page!

Here's the page distribution of my rankings.

As you can see only the 4,9% of keywords is in the first page, so I've a lot to work with :)

According to this tool I've 3000+ keywords in the first 5 pages and I need to put all them (or almost) in the first spot (I'm sure are many, many more).
To do it I'm planning to increase the website trust with link building and better silo structure (always in progress).

Now in my main menu I've only few really Macro categories that are grouping all main categories and sub categories in a well organized and readable manner (for Google and users)!
Only with this "little" improvement I'm sure in the next few days my ranking will be improved because my link juice distribution is proper now :)

Love play with dinosaur tail :D

Nice journey. I have few questions.
1) You told that you are using Semrush to know KW difficulty. So upto what percentage of KW difficulty is easy Keyword you feel?
2) Are you checking the KW difficulty for every 20 searches per monthKW ?

No, I said I'm using Moz because SemRush fails to calculate the real competition :)
In Moz I'm targeting keywords from 17 to 35.

No I don't check difficulty for the supporting keywords (long tails).

what Italian seo tool did you used?

SeoZoom, it's from a friend of mine, Ivano :)
My idea has helped to create a small semantic tool too

Hello argan!

I have some questions regarding the interlinking and structure organization of the site.

So lets say that you have a site about color and your main page and menu looks like this one (where Red, Green, Blue, Yellow are the Macro categories):

argan1.jpg

When an user clicks the Macro Category, do you change the main menu on the site to something like this? (where Blue Widget, Blue App are the main categories):

argan2.jpg

Or do you keep the main Menu and you do the interlinking like this:

Also is there any change in structure when you are going from the Macro Categories to the Main Categories, and from the Main Categories to the Sub Categories?

Thank you very much! Your thread is being an inspiration to a lot of people :)

Yes it's more like this one!
I've custom linking on Macro Category, Main Category, and Sub Category.

The main menu is always there to help the user experience, without a menu it's really difficult for the users to browse my website.
The 100% proper silo structure can help to spread the link juice but in my opinion you need to consider usability :)

Basically I'm displaying Main Categories in Macro Category page and Sub Category in the Main Category Page.

Thanx alot for clearing this out for me.

So in order to reach the post you go on 4 layers deep:

HomePage > Macro Category > Main Category > Sub Category > Post

or

Colors (Main Site) > Blue > Blue Widgets > Cool Blue Widgets > "Best Cool Widgets"

What is the average length of the content that you are using in the Macro,Main and Sub Category pages?

I want to thank you for this thread. It's really motivating :)

I have a question though...

Do you pay for all your keyword tools you use, it seems kinda expensive? MOZ charges $99 monthly to check 300 keywords.

No, I said I'm using Moz because SemRush fails to calculate the real competition :)

Sorry for the noob question...but how exactly are you using Moz to to analyze competition?

What software do you use to check your keywords ranking? Do you only use semrush?

No, posts from categories are displayed before the 4 layer deep :)
On the archive pages I've 500+ words of content targeting only one keyword (no long tails to avoid keyword cannibalization).

Now I'm using SerpLab, 4,99 $ a month to check 900 keywords (600 paid + 300 in the free version).
This tool was suggested by a member in this post :)

SemRush is good for keyword research but to check keywords I'm using WhatsMySerp (Free and immediate to make tests) and SerpLab.co.uk

Thanks for your answer.
1)So for each KW with 480 searches + KW difficulty between 17 -35 you make one post targeting the particular KW?
2) KW difficulty under 17 is not good? I have found one KW with 480 searches & the KW difficulty is 1%. Can I target it?

Thanks

Day 63
Google Traffic: 639 UV
Earnings: € 65,39

These are hard days! Organize the work of copywriting on the website, copywriting for the guest posting and find sites willing to publish them makes me really busy!
Now I've a decent list of blog that I will use for my future projects!

Until now seems all steady but I'm not happy with this earnings! I've an average of € 60 on a daily basis and I need to do more and more :)
I'm motivated to do my best and my domain with all that backlinks has now Trust Flow 20 (MajesticSeo) and Domain Rating 44 (Ahrefs).

I trust only this metrics because are based on the real situation. My domain authority is fake since Moz knows only 30% of my backlinks...

Thanks for your answer.

No, I need at least 210 searches per month to target a keyword. It's only my rule, you can even create custom posts for 90 searches per month keywords.
I'm unable to find keywords lower than 17, when I can find it there isn't commercial intent :)

You can try to target it but are you sure people coming from that SERP are interested in buying that product?

If I have a normal wordpress blog, is it worth to remake it in silos? At the moment I have 20% of keywords ranking on 1-st page.
My main website(root domain) is in 1-st page for keyword like panasonic juicer, but on that root domain I don't talk about panasonic juicer I talk about juicer in general, panasonic juicer article is deeper.

That's why I think it would be a good choice to remake it in silo. The problem is that I have to change theme, remake and resize photos, reformat articles and I'm afraid to lose ranking that I have at the moment
