Good luck. I find this all very interesting. Keep up the hard work.

Quite a random question, but do you have your Amazon links open a new tab? Or do your Amazon links use the same tab as your website?

Keep it up Argan!

Hope you are alright OP? didn't see your update for yesterday in the thread.. very much unlike you:confused:

Hi Argan, Fantastic stuff here! Took 3 hours reading every post! :10:

I'm on my own journey, but would like an authority to be my next project especially with Christmas approaching and I can see this is a long term project. A question I have though is about Macro Niche? Would a generic review everything type website (like TheReviewSquad someone linked to earlier post), where I would write about anything be too difficult to rank for? I feel I would get demotivated for example writing about electric toothbrushes only and I can't afford paid writers now.

So my question is which would you recommend? Micro (brand), Macro (Category) or Everything Review style site for easier SEO?

@arganrecords: Your journey is really amazing. I have read all of them and it does encourage me. I really wish you all the best!
On the other hand, my story might not be as successful as yours.

2 months ago, I started a niche blog with only approximately 1300 Search volumes for my main keyword (+400 SV for its related keywords) and it's frustrated for me to rank #1. My main keyword is ranked #18 now, and other just in top 20. My site receives 5 - 8 Google searchs/a day, but few of them click to amazon links.
I did try to search for all the related high SV keywords, but they seems to completely hard to rank.

Besides that, it appears to have one problem about the domain name as it goes like this: "bbuy*speicificproduct*.com. So I can't expand the topic for other keywords.

I'm thinking of starting a new blog, an authority site like you do. And for an authority site, can I use this theme (kind of like magazine theme including review plugin, etc)

You're #18, that's great. Keep pushing on the SEO. You'll get top 10.

I doubt your keyword is that competitive. You're obviously not that experienced, so if you've got to #18 with whatever you've done, chances are top 5 is within reach.

Build out a tiered backlink structure.

tier 1: 20 web 2's, hand-written, aim to get them ranked in the top 100 for keywords in your niche. Anchors = yoursite, yoursite.com, "click here", "visit yoursite" and "Your Page Title"
tier2: Either, rankwyz, fcsnetworker and/or magic submitter. Mixed anchors. Various keywords and generic. Don't go over 5% for any one keyword.
tier3: gsa. mixed anchors, don't need to be as strict.

Start with 5 web 2's on tier1.

If you can't afford those tools then get a part time job. You only need 1 of the tier 2's. fcs is the cheapest.

Just reading your journey and it brought me to research about Amazon bans reasons (I have 700$/M niche site myself). I found that someone reported that the W3 cache plugin is stuffing cookies into the visitors browser and it caused ban for his account. So I wanted to ask, are you using this plugin in your websites? and if no, which cache / speeding website plugins are you using?

If you want to see the post of this man it's here

Btw, if you can give me some tips about "How to save my Amazon Associates from bans" it would be great! I read the TOS but there are mistakes that many people are doing (like me because I'm beginner) and you are pro in this area :)

EDIT:1 more thing, I saw on the TOS that you have to mention that you are linking to Amazon.. and I thought about some of my pics in my reviews that I linked to Amazon (I have some pictures of the products parts that linked to amazon). Can this get me banned? In your web sites, are you linking some pics in your reviews to amazon too? Or just text links? (I'm not talking about "Buy From Amazon" Pics, I'm talking about regular product pic with no sign for Amazon and still they linked to Amazon.

also I saw that Amazon provides limited "Buy From Amazon" Buttons and they have low quality.. (you can see the buttons here
) . Do you know if I can use some custom buttons with good high quality design like these on "google pics" under the search "Amazon Buy Button"

Thank you, I kinda lost track with the SEO steps. Those keywords are ranked in top 20 mainly because i ordered an SEO package about $30 or so.

Do those web 2.0s require elegant theme, well-customize homepage and other pages? I mean do they really need to look as a real blog? And how many post it need for each web 2.0s

Thanks again!

Awesome topic! I have two question!

1) Who are you? I mean what is your job right now? :)
2) What is life cycle of your products? For example, if it's IPhone 5 then it's about 1 year..

Guys in the last 2 days I was really busy and was away from home. I'll answer to your questions tomorrow in the morning and I'll update the thread with missing days :)

There are important increases in taffic and in ranking :)

Just one quick question about Web 2.0s.
Is it neccessary to create a web 2.0 with an unique IP and email account? Or can I create 5-10 web 2.0s with one email account, one IP address.

Depends on the service.

tumblr allows you to add new blogs from your account. I saw one guy on here happily with 20 on one account. I'm personally going for 10 per account.

Experiment.

They won't need an elegant theme though. Just don't use spun content for your tier 1. If you have 20 tier 1's and 5 get deleted you've lost 1/4 of your power. If 5 of your 100 tier 2's get deleted you've lost 5% of 20% of your power, which is 1% :)

Several pages.. They don't require it no. It wouldn't hurt if.

What do you mean it depend on the service? Like Wordpress/ Blogger/ Wix allows to create multiple blogs in 1 account.

Of course. Not every web 2 platform has the same rules and type of enforcement.

Traffic is growing as a mountain and my link building is still going.
Today got published 2 guest post (DA27 and PR3 - DA 21 and PR1).

It's never enought so I will continue to hard boost with natural backlinks :)

Quite a random question, but do you have your Amazon links open a new tab? Or do your Amazon links use the same tab as your website?
Few are opened in a new window and few not. At the beginning of the contents I want people to continue to read, so all this links are opened in a new window.
For links in the final part of the content I'm directly redirecting users to Amazon :)

A question I have though is about Macro Niche? Would a generic review everything type website (like TheReviewSquad someone linked to earlier post), where I would write about anything be too difficult to rank for? I feel I would get demotivated for example writing about electric toothbrushes only and I can't afford paid writers now.

TheReviewSquad example is a really great way to get traffic, you can rank easly without many bakclinks because that content will target all possible long tails and you'll get a lot of traffic from it.
Regarding your question I can aswer saying that Macro niche websites need a lot of time to rank because you need to organize your content properly (this is really easy with micro niche websites).

If you've a lot of experience try to go for Macro website, if not try to learn from Micro websites :)

I'm thinking of starting a new blog, an authority site like you do. And for an authority site, can I use this theme (kind of like magazine theme including review plugin, etc)

Seen this theme used for a lot of websites here in italy :) It's perfect for reviews mate!

I found that someone reported that the W3 cache plugin is stuffing cookies into the visitors browser and it caused ban for his account. So I wanted to ask, are you using this plugin in your websites? and if no, which cache / speeding website plugins are you using?

The first thing to say is that European Agreement is different from USA/UK etc...
For this reason we can't speak about Amazon's TOS, you need to contact Amazon's support to get this answers (few things are regular in Europe, few others aren't in USA).

I'm not a coder so I don't know how Amazon's affiliate links works with W3 Total Cache, so I will ask to Amazon's support and let you know :D
I'm using high quality buttons but I'm making a lot of tests to improve my conversions, so test it and change if aren't working well as buttons used before on your website.

1) Who are you? I mean what is your job right now? :)
2) What is life cycle of your products? For example, if it's IPhone 5 then it's about 1 year..

IP and eMail records are managed by Web 2.0 websites, not Google (if you mean some kind of Google's spam filters) :)
As said by splishsplash every platform has own rules and as always you need to test yourself and make mistakes to learn
