This one is a bit tricky because sites with very little actual content can struggle breaking through to the first page. For best results, our advice would be to make sure your homepage has a decent amount of content (500 to 1000 words) to go with the tool, as well as a few informative inner pages.

It is typically fine to use mixed high PR links on a site with no prior link building. However, for optimal results, it is advisable to diversify your backlinks and anchors profile with some contextual link types. This can be done before, during or after using the high PR links. The fact that the site is in French is also not a problem. We have many subscribers using this service on non-English sites with great results.

If you use buffer properties, anchor diversity will not be as important since you will have only 5 to 10 direct links to your site. If you choose to use buffers, our advice would be to first see where your site's rankings end up after the first month and then, if needed, use our Simple Solutions service to diversify its anchors profile.

Both of your examples can be used on a brand new domain. The only difference is if you wish to take things slow and shield your site from any potential risks, then buffers are recommended. Having said that, we have quite a lot of clients that have been using the high PR links directly on their sites for over a year without any issues.

As for your second question, Facebook fanpages can indeed get away with a lot more aggressive link building than regular sites. So buffers are not really needed there.
