Giving up US citizenship soon

Very interesting OP. There are countless people who have the American dream and want to move and work there. You know, there is a lot of opportunities for professional there. The salary are the best. Work 5-10 year in America, you salary would rise to 125K easily. '

To earn even more, work in any industry as the salary going to be great compared to rest of the world because at least with the starting salary, you get get a house, car, food and live independently. Work for 2-4 years and then move to the Middle East Saudi Arabia, Qatar etc. These countries suck American balls, literally. Easily earned 220K just working 2-4 year in the US.
This is why the American citizenship is so highly valued.

Another thing great about America is how easy it is to start and legitimize a business. People in the US love spending money compared to the other world. People make absolute ton of money by selling products there.

If I were you mate, I wouldn't lose your US citizenship. It's very valuable.

Jury Duty is when you have to appear in court and decide the sentence of someone right?

You should move to my country, here i have to do 9 months full time slave work for the government and get paid 250$ per month (normal income of a person is 1200$, you cant live from 250$).

If i deny they throw me in jail for about 6 months, you would think after that im free to go, no, i get another notification for my new slave job, if i ignore it again -> another 6 months of jail, and that goes on so long until i let me oppress of these people.

It's so very easy to see the other side, as you put it, nutserious.

I've spent enough time in shit-hole countries to know that there are people in them who would literally do anything to get a US green card, or better, citizenship. To do so, in their view, would be better than winning the lottery.

But, I've also seen first hand the plight of folks who wish to escape the clutches of their birth nation (US mostly, but also British, Australian, etc).

I'm perhaps even one of them - I objected to the massive rate of taxation, and other imposts, in Australia, so I left, and stopped being a taxpayer there.
I visit occasionally, but I don't really even think of it as home anymore. Home for me is quite literally, most of the year, a small tropical island in the south pacific :)
Fortunately, Australian citizens aren't taxed on their worldwide income regardless of their location, so giving up citizenship isn't really something at the top of my list.

But, it's absolutely the case that if shit got really hectic and I lost everything I had, I would get back to Australia as fast as I could to start all over again. Anyone with half a brain (literally, only half - you don't need to be very smart) can earn $100k+ a year there, (before tax).

I guess the only thing that is clear, then, is that reality is subjective.

I also think that we are better people when we appreciate what we have.

Jury duty: 12 people to damn dumb to get out of jury duty judging who done it.

Just tell them you have a criminal record. Whether you do or not.

I come here looking for am IM forum, and all I learn is about witchcraft, bong smoking and how to talk to girls / get back with my girlfriend.

It's a pity, many foreigners wanted to be in your stead.

Anyways, all the best!

You should come to a Asian Country , specially in my country.

Stop spreading bullshit conspiracy theories, TTIP is not about adding laws to the EU.

LOL you claim your knowledge from a prospect for idiots ?Thats TTIP for you ?Some random keywords ?
Man learn what TTIP exectly is and learn what it means.TTIP can't exist if the laws wont be adjusted and you can trust me it wont be the US accepting EU laws.

Man your kiddy choices are so stupid same as your claims. You dont want to pay taxes in the US ?Nothing easier than that.JUst open a foundation with the goal to support you.Add all your assepts and your company into that foundation. So now you wont pay a single dime taxes and best of all if you have personal debts they can't take anything away from you since you are not the owner of these assets but just the administrator.

Man........... what stupid claims here are total nonsense and if you dont want to pay real estate taxes maybe you should claim souvereignity. It has a reason why when accepting a citizenship you register your car....house ...everything to the government.Do you even understand the meaning of the word "register" ?From where the word register comes ?I highly doubt that. But yeah keep paying taxes so you can have streets and medical support which belonge longs time ago in private hands and which are gushing cash thanks to people like you.

One doesn't need US citizenship to own a business in America, and if one doesn't want to work for someone else the prospects of a job in America doesn't apply.

If somebody really wants a US citizenship he just needs to find a company who is willing to hire him and declare at the us administrations that he is needed and can't be replaced by somebody else.
Thats an instant approvement.
Somebody thinks thats not possible because US wouldnt protect its domestic market ?Yes it is possible since answer a question to yourself. Why is the US importanting massivly immigrants (basicly from mexico) to the US who are broke and looking for work if they got themself at least minmum 20 million unemployed people ready to work ?
Answer is simple as its happening all over the world.Mexicans in US,Polish in UK and Germany,Ukraine in Poland etc ...... it has one goal to increase the pressure to people to find a work and execially to accept
lower paid jobs.Thats the so called economical wonder of the major western countries.
Why are they doing it ?Everyone need to answer it themself.
Next step which is officaly declared is to implement TTIP Between north America and EU and implementing the USD into EU where the EU is currently resisting thats why you can see such a massivly attack on Merkel.

I think no matter the taxes, US is the place to be. None of us like taxes, but then it's the way of life.

The U.S. isn't really the place to be but there are a few cities that are for business purposes(New York,Chicago,Los Angeles etc.) but there are also cities in other countries that are good for business purposes. But one doesn't need to live in the cities to actually benefit from the business networks there since they can visit various ones for conferences and meetings when those come up.

But but... Jury duty! LOL As someone who has lived abroad for years in the past, you're in for a surprise if jury duty is what bothers especially if you're going to a country with a lower tax rate than the US.

People who feel the need to leave the US are not happy here. Why? Usually* they don't have many friends, can't get into relationships or aren't close with their family. They feel a need to escape, start fresh where they think their social issues will disappear and women will flock to them. Most of us could not fathom permanently giving up our citizenship, we were born here, we have life long friends here, our family is here, we have no problem starting relationships here. Wherever you go, there you are. Lots of good reads on expats over at wickedfire.

OP, you should rent a place over in Bulgaria or where ever for 1 year, and see if you really like it.

OP, could you just clarify if you have been outside of the USA before and if so where?

Also you have to remember the US and UK have tax treaties with ALOT of countries that you would lose access to.

Also you have to take into consideration how stable the internet connections/speeds will be in the place you move to.

I wouldn't lose access to those countries I just would have to pay money to go to them, but the money is so low for a visa.

I just want a yacht and most of the world can f off for all I care.

I meal lose access to the tax treaties.....

Have you ever been outside the US?

The tax treaties don't help other than handle credits and deductions from 1 nation while your living in another.

Thats a pretty big advantage depending on your income streams.....

Also, i'm guessing you have never been outside the US as you have dodged the question twice. I suggest you take a holiday to somewhere you plan to live and see what its actually like there and I suspect that may change your mind.
