Giving up US citizenship soon

I've decided that being a citizen of the US is pretty much pointless due to things such as taxes and forced jury duty.

How hard is it to get a 1954 travel document from Bulgaria? I know they issue them but I haven't seen any information about it comparesd to countries such as the UK and Ireland that also issue them.


And traveling stateless with those documents doesn't seem it causes much issues. I already found out that if I wanted to visit Canada with it and being a resident of Bulgaria it only costs 100 CAD. The costs of visas to various nations when I want to travel is a small fraction of what tax savings would be.

I also don't like how I'm pretty much blacklisted from so many online companies (finance and gambling). As well as offline banks that dont want to deal with fatca

Living 3 month a year in 4 different countries, that's my plan. paying no taxes at the end of the year.

Yeah, the taxes of IM are a real bitch. I can see your point there. But forced jury duty? I have never even been summoned for that.

You'll just end up paying tax elsewhere.

There's two things in this world you can't avoid. Tax and death. You can postpone and dodge them for a bit, but they'll catch up with you somewhere at some point.

But the taxes are much higher in the usa, I'll be moving to a lower taxed nation. But if I were to remain a usa citizen I'd still owe taxes to America.

The worst part is that they showed a 20 minute propaganda video lying to potential jurors about what they can do. They make it seem like only the evidence can be judged and not the law as well

They threaten you, but there is no way for them to know that you actually got the notice. I had someone try to bullshit me that they send cops out, but I know he was full of shit. They aren't going to throw you in jail when they have no proof that you actually got the notice. Shit, maybe I've gotten summoned much more and don't even know it. It's possible, right? My mail guy sucks ass too so I wouldn't be surprised.

Taxes can't be avoided. Everyone pays them. Be glad you don't live in the UK.

I strongly believe that death is avoidable to some extent. Some scientists now believe that people will be able to live for thousand years without signs of ageing.

I'm not sure about taxes.

The same week I turned 18, I got a jury duty notice. The only reason I was able to get out of it is because I technically have a child in my care (my younger sister).
