Prepare for Mobilegeddon: Google’s Big Mobile Update April 21

It's been long enough now for you to see any effects it might have on your sites but since you were already mobile friendly you might only see changes if the sites above you for your keywords didn't have their sites updated.
Well it's obviously too early to judge this update, but until now no changes on any of my sites and all are mobile friendly.

Yeah there seems to be some mixed reviews but I think that's because there competition that was above them didn't move so they didn't move up but some people that didn't do the update in time have seem some small to medium negative results.
Yeah still not seeing much major from this.. not sure where some blogs pulled their numbers and predictions out of on this one.. perhaps time will tell I guess.

We seriously need competition against Google. They can't continue to dictate what the WWW should look like.

It's strange that there are such mixed reviews but it seems to be a little more on the "no affect" side.
On my end thus update seems like a scam so far. Unless it is still rolling out. Non mobile sites are ranking the same in keywords I track. It seems like basically the same results whether mobile or desktop. I think someone at Google even said this would have significant impact on websites. Seems like total bs so far. Even if I google the keyword seo the first results isn't mobile friendly here.

Yes for my main keyword the top 3 positions are held by non mobile friendly sites, I'm now 4th although mine is. I have actually dropped a place. This is weird..

I prepared for mobilegeddon on April 20th. And I got it in before googles server times reached april 21st.

So I recently brought my traffic up on the site that I was really looking forward to seeing rise a bit with this update since about half of my organic traffic (not my overall web traffic) comes from a mobile device. The site was mobile optimised and had no issues passing Google's mobile-friendly test, but the results of the update are astounding.

That point where it dips is April 21st. The traffic stayed at that point until I put in some effort to bring it back up a few days ago.

This whole update was a joke for me, but I'm glad some people got their rankings boosted.

Still haven't really figured out why people are having such different results.
Not seen diddly squat so far in my niches.

Google are full of it by the look of it.

Well I'm doing a MAJOR mobile overhaul on a large e-commerce site I have. Its adaptive, so it will fluidly adjust for screen size and device detection. The full Montey. If this doesn't change anything then I will feel VERY confident that this update was just a Google bluff to make sites go mobile friendly.

Yeah it seems like overall this hasn't had that big of an affect on most sites of bhw users.
Okay, so on one of my mobile optimised websites, I've noticed that my rankings for various keywords have slightly increased on mobile devices by 1-2 spots, although the number of visitors the site gets each day has remained steady (I would actually argue that they may have gone down a bit) despite this site receiving around 30% of its traffic from mobile devices.

On the mobile SERPs, it doesn't look like any of my competitors have moved too many spaces (Even the ones I outranked only moved a space or two below me). I was really hoping that this update would be a bit better than this.

i'am sorry, i dont trust mobilegeddon, quality backlink is the number one for seo effect

Yeah that is weird if your site is seo optimized with backlinks.

I was about to change mine but when I checked I saw that they were already mobile ready.

Yeah it seems like this may have just been mostly a bluff anyway. Though there has been mixed reviews.
