Why follow faster than unfollow? FL

Often when I see FL settings get posted, they have the follow set to a higher rate than unfollow. ie, follow 600 a day, unfollow 450. This confuses me. The general consensus is to grow your account to the max followers with the min following. Won't this setting eventually bury you by making it impossible to unfollow all the follows?

Also, can someone recommend a good follower to following ratio? In general any insight on that settings is welcomed. To me a ration needs to be X to Y, not just X alone..

Sorry for the newb questions...

I don't get why are you so worried about this. It'll take days before you reach the limit (7.5k) if you're only increasing by 150 per day, and by then you can stop the following for a few days and leave your bot to unfollow only. If you're so worried about it, you can set the values both equally and no worries. It's up to you, don't focus on settings which get posted in here, everyone has different ones, the ones he found the best for his account, so try to find yours as well :)

because most users won't unfollow mutual followers (the people who follow you back), because if the unfollowed notice this, they will unfollow you too unless you're a celebrity or something like that, so you do more damage than good
however if you want to unfollow everybody, obviously the setting you mention in the OP will bury your acc for a few days until you'll have free slots for following again

From my testing before, if I follow 100 people than unfollow 100 people the same day, it just increases the chances of my accounts getting banned. 100 is just an example by the way. Again this just from my experience.

I notice my accounts last longer when my following count is higher than my unfollowing count.

I've been following 650-700 people per day with a 1 month old account until I reached 7.Xk following and I've been unfollowing 650-700 for 6 days straight without facing any problem

sometimes it's good to get lucky as well :) i guess it also depends on the timings between those unfollows, if you do 10 unfollow in a fast succession and then wait for some time or unfollow one then wait and so on..

What are your delays?

Keep in mind that the follow/unfollow limits are directly linked. Both follow/unfollow commands count against your limit.
