Hey,

Since Twitter has banned bulk (un)following, tools like TweetAdder have become quite labor intensive. And clicking the mouse button 1000s of times (on (un)follow buttons), isn't fun and actually starts to hurt after several 100s of rapid clicks.

So, I just had a great idea and I'd like to share it with you; use an Auto Mouse Clicker tool! An AMC puts some auto/mation back into TweetAdder and the likes :D

I downloaded a simple and free AMC from Tucows. This was also the only one that actually installed and didn't freak out Norton AV. In case you get it from Tucows too and don't want to install any of the extra stuff (e.g. some toolbar), keep clicking the Decline button (about 5 times... see the irony?) after you've clicked the EXE file. At some point the AMC will be downloaded minus the extra stuff.

Once installed:

  1. Launch TA and the AMC;
  2. Click the AMC's "Locate" button;
  3. Move cursor to desired position (e.g. (un)follow button) and click (to send the cursor position to the AMC);
  4. I've set the click interval to 300ms and it seems to work fine;
  5. Set amount of clicks (example: set 300 clicks if you need to (un)follow 300 people);
  6. Lean back and enjoy your victory... you've just semi-beaten a billion $$$ company's rules :cool:

That's it! I hope this saves you a RSI.

Best,

Ralph

How successful have you been with it?

Using the AMC, I cleaned up 5 Twitter accounts yesterday, unfollowing 20K+ non-followers. Worked perfect! Takes a bit over an hour per 5K unfollows.

However, on another forum someone mentioned that the unfollow button sometimes moves. I adviced him to lock the AMC's cursor position on the unfollow button at the top of the list, as that button is always in the same place here. Still waiting on a confirmation on whether this solves his issue or not.

Great job, assholes. Now TweetAdder has put in limits that only let you unfollow a few people before it brings up an alert.

Are you sure about that? I think TA should be programmed to performe follow/unfollow with certain speed. No matter how fast you are clicking TA will repet it with correct speed. So all your clicks will be delayed

Yup, try it. There's a forced download, and now it controls how often you click.

Yes, it's much slower now :( but auto clicker still works if set to 4 sec

I don't like subscription fees, would prefer one time payment

I bought it long ago when it was automated - one time fee unlimited. Btw I've seen someone is selling unlimited license - one time fee I believe. Don't remember in which thread, sorry. Try search

Is that legit? Or is that like the free license that was floating around that everyone used until Tweetadder decided to shut down that party?

Of course it is legit. When they stoped automation I switched to TweetDemon. Then TA decided not to charge any monthly fees old customers and I am using it again - mainly for posting and unfollowing. Following with TweetDemon

How is TweetDemon different from TA? I hate the new update from TA (been with them for years) but now i'm looking for alternatives to follow/unfollow.

Tdemon is very different from TA, you can't set separate settings for the accounts. But you can open several instances and run groups of accounts. Also it's a headache to learn it in the beginning but now I am used to it

This is Great, especially since I invested in the premium version Tweetadder, thanks!
