It depends on the product and niche. I'm not afraid of spending 3x or more the commission amount to collect data, as it's almost always possible to then optimize the campaign through this data to make it profitable. But in the case of this specific product it was profitable from the beginning, before even optimizing the campaign.

Membership levels are not based on post count.

You can become an Executive VIP by invitation only (given only after vote from Exec VIP's) and have admin approval, as mentioned here.
