Ebay Leaving Commission Junction...What Now?

I'm sure a few of you got this email today...

"We are excited to announce eBay?s new global affiliate platform: the eBay Partner Network.

The new platform will go live on April 1st, 2008 PST, at which point eBay will no longer be running its affiliate program through Commission Junction. Beginning April 1st, affiliates should register with eBay Partner Network and migrate their links from CJ to the new platform.

While CJ and ValueClick have been valuable partners to eBay throughout the years, we?ve decided to give our affiliate community a customized experience for eBay affiliates...."

ANYWAYS...what the hell am I going to do with my BANS sites? This might be a big pain in the ass!

What about using Sh0ppingAds instead? Though I'm not sure how you can integrate it with BANS, never used it personally.

hmmmm...

1. This is good news for those who don't like CJ. They are giving lot of hard time to not only cookie stuffer but to honest publishers too

2. This is a bad news for lot of publishers who has hundreds of eBay affiliate website. It will be hard for them to change codes in each and every site.

3. Cookie stuffing will not be a problem. If people are doing cookie stuffing for Amazon in house affiliate program then they can still do that with new eBay affiliate links.

I am just going to keep on building my BANS sites for now, i think their will be a smooth transfer to the new eBay program, i am glad that they left CJ, they really suck.

You raise a great point...This will be one of my focal points for a few days.

I'm pretty sure their team will be better than CJs. They lose money when people do BH, CJ doesn't necessarily. Big difference
