What black hat methods can we all agree upon doesn't work?

What I'm missing in this forum is information that is precise. Most of what I always find is firstly people that have an opinion of what works and what doesn't work and people that know works/doesn't work. How do you really distinguish these two groups?

In reality I think this is really hard to do and looks more like a gray scale than just black and white. Jack maybe tried something once and thinks he know while Bill tried it 20 times and really knows about it. Now to make things even more complicated we also have a group of people that wants to promote stuff. These people always mention things that works and use various methods to reel in the fish to what they are trying to sell. So I think to really know we need to ask things that truly doesn't work. I could be wrong about everything and I maybe need to rethink it. Maybe things are even more complicated. Don't know.

So my question to you what methods truly doesn't work and how many times have you tried it.

While Bill tried it 20 times wouldn't it be more likely that he tried it with various techniques. I think we should also ask how long time he tried it. I could be that the method worked 2010 but stopped working 2011?
The truth is that the more people say it doesn't work the more likely it is that others will fail and the level of success is just to hard to even bother with.
Still I think asking what doesn't work gets you way longer jump than asking what works. I mean if you think of it, people doesn't want to share their exact methods, why would they? But in the spirit of helping each other and themselves of sharing their fails would help in saving a lot of wasted time.

Yes of course they should have a cigar for that but I don't think it really helps anyone. Of course you would try your own twists and experiment yourself. It is really hard not to. But does that really help yourself when you fail? Wouldn't you like to know the trend of that method before you start. You can't rely on success but you can rely more on fails. It gives you a platform and guidance to stand on.

You're missing the point - you'll only know if you can make something work by trying it yourself.

Every method, niche, business model, sector, industry, idea, product, service - they are all littered with people who failed at them.

But every one of them also has a few people who make spectacular amounts of money with them

If you take advice from the failures of this world, you will get nowhere.

Otherwise most thing you do is helping people with suggestion, promoting your SEO services and you link pushing service, reminding people with forum rules and helping people black hat coupons.
