It was probably a whole load of crap anyway, people think the generic weightloss, make money and dating are the best but in my opinion you have to spend too much to rank in them so the more profitable niches are the less obvious ones that you discover yourself ;)

Lawyers, insurance, banks, SEO, health I'd say can afford the most to spend on their marketing to get customers.

The thing isn't whether or not someone can afford the quality work, its whether or not you spark that person to just simply buy from you and tell their friends.

Lawyers & Home Improvement most trending local niche.

Any Niche is good to make money unless you put the right content into them. Ranking is a main factor to make money online.

Profitable niches are those with lots of adwords ads. Check them out on google, they are right under your nose.

ive got a exact keyword niche for my site and with 5 articles written now im looking for the next step. any ideas to help!

I have a HUUUGE list but obviously I can't share the whole thing. It's really not rocket science. Lots of dudes like to go for lawyers, doctors and dentists but those industries tend to be the most competitive and truth is, profit margins are really small.

That's why I prefer industries along the lines of:

home improvement
kitchen remodeling
basement remodeling
bathroom remodeling
additions
weatherization
solar
insulation
masonry (very profitable)
foundation repair
fire restoration
flood restoration
lead abatement
asbestos removal
radon
homes + any toxins = lots of $$$
crime scene clean up (very profitable)
french drains
pools
home raising
roofing
siding
windows
hvac installation
hvac replacements
real estate
etc
etc
etc

Industries I hate:

plumbing
painting
food
dentists
doctors
lawyers
pest removal
landscaping
carpet cleaning
etc
etc

Lets put it this way. Any industry that requires a high volume of repeat clients to be profitable... I hate.

Yes, doctors, dentists and lawyers make a lot of money and have a lot to spend. But these are the most common niches marketers go after. The profit margins are small (generally speaking). Way too many tire kickers. A dentist can't tag $5k-$100k on a job for mere profit. They are overregulated, expensive ass equipment, deal with poor and uninsured people all day long.

Home improvement type industries are completely different. Maybe cause my dad built homes his whole life. But these are industries I understand inside and out.

A simple french drain can cost the crew $3,200 to install, then savvy business owners will sell that job for $15,000+.

The profit margins are ridiculously high. We work with one of the best accountants in our state who's worked with tons of other local businesses. And I can't recall how many times he's asked us if we're scamming people just due to how high our profit margins are (not revealing the specific niche). But it's not uncommon to have margins between 50-70%. And since we run our biz with extremely low overheads, cause we're smart, that money is going right into the bank.

Don't get me wrong, there are tons of idiot contractors. Like roofing. I've met so many roofers who's margins are 10-20% on a great day. But most these guys are idiots.

Other industries you tend to find much more savvy business owners. And those are the guys me and my brother target.

We don't sell SEO. We don't sell leads. I generate the leads, if it's something we're not licensed to do my brother brokers the leads for 4-5 fig commissions.

THAT is the type of setup you want. You don't want dozens of different clients. You wanna build a strong bond with just a few savvy business owners. It barely takes any traffic. With just 40-50 clicks / day you can easily clear $5-$10k / month in commissions. The WORST thing you can do is rely on Googles CPC estimates to determine the value of a lead. A lead that 1 marketer sells for $50-100 based on what Google says, I can take the same lead and pull a few thousand in commissions from it.

With a 40% closing rate you can -

Sell 10 leads for $1000 while the company makes $50,000-$200,000 in profit.

Or you can be smart, recognize the true value of a lead, collect commissions on 4 closed jobs and make $5-10k on those 10 leads.

A monkey can figure out the math yet 98% of local SEO's still do it the wrong way.

Medical niche, layers, and banks niche are the most profitable niche for local.

There are a lot of niches within which you can make good money, the most important thing is to offer reliable services or good products.

Profitable niches are those with lots of adwords ads. Check them out on google, they are right under your nose.

This + a little common sense. What is a lead worth? And a little less common...Sales cycle length? Access to buyer? Legality of selling leads in that niche? Do your research, and don't bit off more than you can chew. 50% of Loganix buyers for the past....4 years have been local lead gen. Most common faults are lack of research, preparation, or motivation to get on the phone and wrestle with lead buyers. Equally common, thinking they can just take over for a term like..."Miami criminal lawyers" with a shit website, and half-ass strategy. The few folks I know who are truly successful at local lead gen, are very well organized, and worked very hard for a long time to get there.

Though limited, my success in local lead gen has always been with low hanging fruit. 3 years ago, general contractors in small to medium sized cities was great. I've noticed in that short amount of time, these guys have got a lot more serious about their marketing. At least in the areas I monitor. I suspect they've worked with enough dopes, and finally decided to not pay $99/mo for SEO/design and instead work with real people. The niche is maturing. Still lots of opportunity there, and in similar niches.

Good luck bros.

I am working in event management niche its high in profit but you need a proper setup to run this business as it requires specialization and contact to execute events.

This is probably the way to go, but how do you get the actual commissions? i mean, local businesses don't have "affiliate programs" so i guess you should have a contract or something with each of them in order to get paid. And you have to be in the same area with them to know if they're doing a great job, if they're getting paid by the client, if they started working and most importantly, if they respect their business agreement with you.

So how exactly do you do these things?
