Ask me ANYTHING about eBay!

I think inn the long run, the way to go is to buy in bulk and store and ship yourself, since they make it more difficult to dropship all the time.

Yes, but i live in Greece and on ebay's site there is not a listing on my local Post that is called Hellinic Post, so how can i the buyer see when the package will arrive and how much to pay for the shipping ?

Also i know that for 1 kilo the shipping cost is 28 € for china or USA....

You think it really worth it ?

Yes, but i live in Greece

well, then you may have no choice but to life with the fact that your accounts will suffer through no fault of your own; in my opinion it will get continuously more difficult to dropship because eBay/Amazon is trying to cut them out so THEY can be the drop shippers.

How can you confidently say that my account will suffer ? Which way ? could you be more specific... ?

I'm not saying you'll fail 100% if you use the drop ship method. It works for many. But my experience of selling on eBay since 1998 or so has been that more you separate yourself from the end user, the more problems you will have handling problems. For example...you dropship something and the customer claims that it broke because it was packaged badly. How can you argue with the customer when you haven't actually seen it?

real life worst case scenario...someone I know had his $15K a month eBay business blow up because his drop shipper disappeared one day on a long drug binge and didn't ship anything. Got accounts shut down and had to start over....

Then i guess that i should find a dropshipper who provides a tracking number, so that i can have a proof that my package has been delivered. On the other hand, why should the customer claim that ? He will lose more money by returning it back as he has to pay some additional shipping fees.

that's pretty much a given

In certain cases, eBay/Paypal will force a refund first, meaning that the customer will get refund AND get to keep the item. For example, if you sell a brand item and customer claims it is fake and you lose the dispute, customer will be refunded with no obligation to return the item.

This is like stealing the item!! Why there is not such an obligation ? I can order all day from ebay (100$ + items) with different accounts and when the item arrives i claim that something is wrong with it so i keep the item and take the money back. Is there a policy that forces the buyer to return the item before refunded?

Also what if i report the buyer ?

Technically, a fake brand item is like child pornography. It should not exist and if you buy something you know is fake you are supposed to destroy it (wink wink) and get your money back. That is why many people here are in trouble with Paypal, because they sold something expensive and fake and paypal forced a refund after they took money out of paypal.

What if i sell a brand item that is indeed genuine and the buyer claims it is fake? How can i prove its genuineness ?

then eBay paypal will decide, but generally if buyers start claiming fake, you will get shut down

You will have to do it naturally I'm afraid. Start selling slowly, and hopefully gain access that way. Maybe call up once a month and get it lifted after a month or so of good trading (only do this if your account details are legit)

Thought I would give back to the community by sharing my experiences about getting started with Low feedback. I'm now a Top Rated Seller and doing very well.

Summary:

Having low feedback will definitely hinder your sales if you are selling a product that can be bought from hundreds of other sellers who are Top Rated Sellers - Why would anyone buy from a unknown and risk getting poor service? If you are in a niche where you are the ONLY seller then low feedback shouldn't effect you much.

Moving forward concentrate on building your feedback. Buy a few penny ebook until you've got a credible amount of feedback, don't buy 30 at once otherwise it will look suspicious. spread it out!

I wouldn't risk antagonising old customers via to leave feedback unless you are 100% sure you are happy. You risk getting a negative or low DSR.

a complementary slip or note in the package wont help because your volume is too low. One negative will be detrimental to your account. So stay under the radar. The customers that genuinely leave feedback will likely leave better DSR ratings.

It's a numbers game. As your volume increases feedback will come naturally. If you are selling only 3 items a month. You are not serious.

I recently had the oppurtunity to open an anonymous (at least till 2017 ) bank account in Luxembourg , now I'm fully committed to get going with my business and sell on Ebay . I'd like to open my shop on both Ebay International and Ebay.fr/it , now my expectation is to have earnings in the ballpark of 20k/month maybe more ...is this going to be a possible issue with Paypal?? My concerns are mostly about the french and the italian VAT regulation policies and like i said the amount of money that Paypal could mark as "suspect" due to the anonymous bank account .

For a beginner which is going into it now. How much times does it take to earn a 200$ a month . Even doing it over time like 10hours + daily ?

if you pick the right product you can make that selling one item
