I believe your issue has been solved promptly after you contacted us. Please note that the thread isn't an efficient support channel as far as it is checked only a couple times a day.
Private message are better with services information but the best remains skype or support channel.

I haven't been able to connect to my VPS all day - no response from tech support either.

Oh that's not good. I don't think you opened a support ticket as far as all tickets were answered. Or was it among the ones we answered this morning ?
If not, we aren't aware of your VPS being down. Could you either write a support ticket or send me a Private Message here, or even on Skype so i can take a look at your VPS?
