I havent used scrapebox for a few months now, will want to try it out when I do though. Looks powerful.
Anyone now if theres a linux version? Or have had success running it in wine? Thanks!
What internet speed do you have that is getting 250k+/min for v2.0?
Wow. I love to learn more about this new proxy service.
Proxy harvester still seems pretty useless. lol
I dont think scrapebox is actually a good idea
It's scraping speed and the ability to handle larger domain files are major improvements. There is one change which upsets me dearly though; the fact that you can't directly copy all URLs to the clipboard from the harvester. I'm confident this will be updated, but for this reason I'm still using the old SB for everything except scraping.
Also, I'm pretty amazed how some people say they haven't used Scrapebox for months. How can you do SEO without using it daily (or at least several times a week)? It really baffles me.
Does the premium article scraper and translator work with v2.0 yet? I'm considering getting scrapebox again now due to 64 bit support and all the free+premium plugins. I had bought it about 4 years ago but never really used it for anything.
This is probably one of my favorite features that SB has

While the Beta version seems OK, I have a few gripes:
1. it does not handle SSL proxies well. After 6 emails to Scrapebox support, I gave up hope of them being able to fix the problem. The problem is not really with SB though; the problem is with the judges not properly recognizing the certificates from the proxies.
2. When you updates the plugins, SB updates and installs all the plugins - including the ones you do not want and have deliberately uninstalled like the chess player, audio player, and the useless port scanner.
3. There is no option to copy proxies from the clipboard into the proxy manager.
Then I just ran into another problem. My OS crashed (win.8.1). I copied all the data to an external drive, including the programs. Reformated, reinstalled everything, and SB required me to reauthorize. PITA!
Yeah it's ok. I really just use scrapebox for scraping, so the search engine selections is what sticks out for myself. The rest is meh, also that proxy harvester can piss right off, slow as all hell. If that's going to be any good, then it's going to need to be as fast as Gscraper.
That's because nobody could work out what you are talking about, you emailed that the judges have a problem with SSL when ScrapeBox doesnt even make SSL connections to the judges. Then you supplied a Google https search URL to show the problem but this has nothing to do with the judges. We were hoping at least one other person would report the same problem, but nobody has.
You mean addons, you can select any addon and click "Install Addon" which will install or update any specific addon.
So far nobody has requested it.
Yep any time i reformat Windows i have to re-license about 45 pieces of software including Windows itself too. Not sure what this has got to do with anything.
I didnt know GScraper even had a proxy tester, last i saw you had to buy proxies off them at $600 year locked to GScraper that you couldn't use in any other software. ScrapeBox tests proxies server side also and gives them for free. Ok i will check this out and do some speed tests.
Being somewhat snippy here. I sent you the log files, the error files, and the proxies used. The log files showed the proxy judges to be the problem. I would assume, though that makes an ass out of you and me, that you would include logging and error files so that you could track down problems when reported. At least that is why I add error logging to programs.
Probably no one has reported the problem because they do not scrape for, or use SSL specific proxies. The reason I do is that I found few use them and so they last longer when scraping.
No. I mean that when SB boots and notifies that there are add ons that need updating and you open the add on manager and click "Update all add ons" It updates all add ons and installs the ones that you do not have installed. V1 SB only updates the add ons that you have installed.
Then please add it. If you want a reason. Some of us have our own proxy scrapers that print to a text box that we can cut and paste from. It is frequently faster to C&P than it is to save to a file; sometimes there is a reason for not writing those proxies to a file as well.
I keep all the SB and Gscraper files in the document folder. This includes the license files. I also write the registry file out, and restore it to the new OS, I also save the program files and locations. Then after testing for corrupt files, I dump all the files back where they came from on the old system to the new system and restore the registry. Using this method, I generally do not have to reregister or reinstall software. This most likely means that you are writing a hidden file. If I would have known that, I would have hunted the bugger down and recovered it as well. There is a significant time savings in restoring a fubarred computer this way. If you really want to know why the OS crashed it was because of an uninstallation of VMWare via Revo uninstaller.
GScraper has the option of using your own proxies. Once you load your proxies and set the number of threads up to 1500, you then click "Remove Invalid Proxies." The proxies are tested and the bad ones dumped. What GScraper does not do is to test for anonymity. But if you are only scraping, who cares about anonymity. If you are posting, then it is a different story.
I'm just going by memory here, but the logfile had random errors like 407 Proxy Authentication Required indicating it was a private proxy, 403 Forbidden, Connection timed out, 500 Socket refused, 404 not found, 307 temporary redirect, 503 service unavailable and so on. No different then the 100% normal errors produced when anyone scans a bunch of free proxies with any tool.

In v2.0.0.28 now fixed you can update an individual addon, you can update only installed addons and you can update and download all addons.
In v2.0.0.28 now added there's Load from ClipBoard, Append from ClipBoard and Save to Clipboard added.
No it's not writing a hidden file, your license is associated with the Windows install. If you reformat Windows or change computers you need to reset your license.
Ok but doesnt GScraper post comments? So GScraper doesnt even have a simple proxy tester that checks for anonymous proxies this means it's leaking your IP to everyone... not good. I don't know how journonick can even compare both proxy testers, they are light years apart.
