Hey guys,

I'm wondering if any of you are beta-testing the new scrapebox. You can download it here:
http://www.scrapebox.com/v2-beta

I'm just starting to mess around with it right now. Anybody else using it? Impressions? Tricks?

ScrapeBox is the only tool I still use from 2009. It really stood the test of time.(Remember the days of Article Marketing Robot, SB Bomber, and WikiBot) :D

sweetfranky... sweetfunny... hmm

Seriously though, v2 looks cool. I like updates in general. I havent needed my copy of SB in a while but I'm sure I could find a use for this again.

I had to go look up who sweetfunny was, and he is guy selling scapebox on here. LOLOL What are the odds?

Now this looks like a secret sales thread for scrapebox, but I assure you, we are not related. (Good catch though)

On a sidenote, I thought Loopline owned Scrapebox?

It's pretty good. There are still some kinks that need to be worked out but I've talked with support a lot through email and they have fixed everything very quickly and also they have even added a thing or two that I suggested.

I would say start using it and report any bugs you find. It's usable right now for almost anything you do in SB and the 64 bit part makes it really good. I can work with files that are 6 million lines long without any problems. I imagine you can do much larger - you just need to scrape more :D

Scrapebox does not need a secret sales thread anyone would recommend it.

Loopline doesn't own Scrapebox, he is however probably the most knowledgeable person about Scrapebox save the actual developers.

Well I love it been using it for a couple months now. Just launched a video on it a few mins ago actually, an advanced guide to the proxy manager:

Thank you so much, learned a lot from you back in the days when I discovered Scrapebox.

What I like about the beta version is the speed of scraping. It is faster than the old version. What I used to do in 4 days, now it could be done in 2 days.

That's awesome. I just finished a massive footprint scrape on version 1 last week and now I regret not being able test out version 2. Oh well, there's always next month. :D

Glad you learned a lot. :) I have a beginner series planned (which would be probably useless to you), an advanced series like this, and then I plan to do some Expert videos where I tie in 3rd party stuff, like using the automator and having it launch custom code that I show how to build etc... Lots of great videos for 2015 planned.

Indeed. Im testing out a new proxy service that will be launched soon and 2.0 was giving me between 2000 - 3000+ urls per second sustained for an hour (at which point I shut it off). Scraping in excess of a quarter of a million urls per minute is very fast. I hope to do some testing soon and see if I can push it up to a million urls per minute.

Everything looks good on V2 beta.
The only think I like more on V1 is that the link checker runs faster and in a separate window, making possible to use other functions without needing multiple copies of sb.

The separate link checker here: http://www.scrapebox.com/free-link-checker

Was always the best solution. You can easily run multiple copies of that at max threads. Unfortunately it does not run on every server though.

If you do anything in a moderate capacity you will probably be running multiple copies of SB to maximize efficiency.

Anyone now if theres a linux version? Or have had success running it in wine? Thanks!

Quick question, if you owned an older copy, is the upgrade free? Or need to buy again?

Sweetfranky? Haha classic, i even had a guy back in the beginning made a couple of video's before Loopline took over called Franky. Is that where you got your username?

As for tricks, you can drag and drop URL lists directly on to the harvester grid to load them without bothering with the menus. You can also grab the edges of the GUI and drag them out and resize it, something a number of people asked for in v1.

Anyway that's 2 "tricks" that may not be obvious.

Thanks, yes the beta is progressing nicely so far, and the 64-Bit version makes a big difference. Most people who try v2 beta don't go back to v1 which is a good sign.

250k/urls per minute is quick, i can't wait to see you push it out to 1 million per minute. :)

What internet speed do you have that is getting 250k+/min for v2.0?

Wow. I love to learn more about this new proxy service.

Nope, just a pure coincidence. I actually just submitted for a name change request to avoid further confusion. :D
