Fucking Yelp. :yell:
They pull down all my reviews for my businesses. Even from reviewers that have active accounts and multiple reviews.
Have you had success with yelp reviews? If so, give me some tips!

from my experience yelp has some of the most sophisticated bot and spam removal techniques ive ever seen. yelp and pof have both shut me down with a real quickness but also in a way that completely roadblocks any further ideas i was having at the time.

Yelp is difficult to work with unless you pay for advertising with them. I have had real reviews moved to the bottom of the not recommended section. I have also seen neg reviews with one or two reviews show up first and real reviews with a higher number or reviews get pushed to not recommended right away.

You have to pay to play with Yelp. Sucks.

Yelp is a pain in the ass and to think they started their business by paying people to write reviews and now they are deleting ones we pay to have people write. I would go back into your customer database and kindly recommend (ask for, but in Yelp's eyes you aren't allowed to ask for reviews) they write a new one for you. Slowly drip it out to your DB so that they don't all come at once and then hopefully they will stick.

i do paid reviews from people needing them for their businesses that i find on craigslist, and sadly more then half are filtered out or removed completely, its highly annoying

Yelp is trash. Avoid it and spend your energy elsewhere.
