As some of you already know by keeping up with the latest news trends, Bitcoin (and some other) crypto currencies are being added as legitimate forms of payment to purchase goods and services.

eShops such as Microsoft and Fiverr are including them as options to successfully perform transactions and order products from vendors.

What's even better than this?

Obtaining a debit card which links your Bitcoin wallet balance to a debit card which can be used at nearly all ATM or physical stores.

Last time I checked there is a MasterCard fee for obtaining and maintaining the card, but Xapo reimburses it back to your Bitcoin balance. You also need about $25.00 in your account to qualify for the program when it is released publicly.

I am in no way affiliated with Xapo, but you can check them out at https://xapo.com

They also offer a Bitcoin Vault which is a protected wallet which is stored on computers which have never been connected to wifi networks. Even if they get attacked, all balances (up to $250,000) are fully insured. Sadly, there is a .25% annual fee to use it and it is entirely optional.

Regadless, if you simply use Xapo as another Bitcoin wallet it has some intuitive features and a sexy web interface to satisfy all of your visual demands.

When it gets released the pre-order information you setup will be the address it gets sent to you as far as i'm concerned.

I love the fact Bitcoins are making a movement that will change the course of history.

Every coin in your wallet is a couple hundred invested. It can only go up from here once it is adopted as the official currency of the world or when the masses start using it.

This card just makes it one step easier to allow people to officially use it on a more broad scale so just wait it out and see if it meets your demands.

when do you think it will get released...

that seems interesting. .25% annual fee, thats stupid

The fee is only to use the Vault and is optional.

You can use the wallet today for free if you want to.

The only thing not public is the card.

As for the release it would probably come out sometime next year as Xapo is just finalizing the paperwork and optimizing the look and functionality of the program using data from the existing beta testers from around the world.

Again I have no affiliation and have no idea about the specific details as I just use their eWallet. All my information is coming from reading the news about their service, but more should be posted on their blog in the coming months.

The release shouldn't be too far away.

RBI will issue a straight ban on this for sure.

no man RBI is ok with Indians dealing with crypto but they are warning to stay wary of crypto's...as we all know the people at RBI are basically crooks who dont understand what they are doing....

I thought something like this would happen, I was always just wondering who would be first to do it. I have seen some "close" instances, but nothing like this.

These innovators are taking this very seriously and have no intent on being the second best.

They not only created an astounding product, but are making a very stable foundation in which they will create the best product for this market.

I'm glad they are doing this because it will give Bitcoin a much better reputation considering the amount of illegal activity people claim is associated with this currency.

Just give it time, when people realize they can pay with Bitcoin and save 3-4% on conversion fees alone the world will be a much different place for the Travel market.

You not only put money in the wallet, you are investing in the future of Bitcoin!

Bitcoin or something like it is the currency of the future. When Microsoft embraced it, you knew it was already mainstream.

Some early scammers gave Bitcoin a suspicious name in the household. I talk to conservative folks who think Bitcoin is crazy criminal shit. But once this view changes it's gonna be a revolution in electronic payments.

They are testing beta cards no, and I contacted support a couple weeks back and sometime 2016 th United States will ha cards issued.

The funding came from it being the first Bitcoin Startup Bank allowing you to securely access CRYPTOFUNDS.

I'm not sure if they will eventually transform it into a universal wallet.

Xapo can be the paypal of cryptoworld. And no I don't think they will do a universal wallet as some altcoins just pop and go.

Very interesting.. Will definitely get a debit card once this becomes available to the public. How many people are using Bitcoin? anyone use it to pay or get paid for web design services? I would love to see bitcoin replace our physical forms of currency in the not-so-distant future.
