Thanks a lot meathead for the great intro, now I know some stuff about site flipping and it does seem interesting but a little risky though

"To make an easy PVA just add a 0 to the end of your number and it will go through their system as unique and still ring you"

Lol... Pure gold! It's the little things that count!

Mahalo,

This section is really appreciated...thanks for the info above also.

Looking forward to the hints, tips and info flow here.

I have 5 sites I am working with now, will flippa them in about 3-4 weeks...

Are there any other traffic tracking tools that buyers trust on? Except for GA? How about Piwik or GetClicky?

The thing is, I have started to run a couple of websites which have affiliate marketing as main income.

I just somehow feel paranoid using GA for all of them. My main traffic source is SEO, and with that, Google already knows too much about my business, I just don't feel comfortable using GA. Also I am aware of the footprint that GA leaves.

So to all experienced site flippers - which other tool legit buyers trust, other than GA?

I have never sold a website before. I understand for AdSense based sites you can provide legit proof of income - screenshots/video, etc. But how about websites that make money from CPA/Affiliate products? Most of networks offer channels/sub-divisions for different sources. How do I ensure the buyer that those exact income stats come from that particular website?

Thanks.

Good question!

While both of the mentioned examples are third party tracking tools, similarly to GA, and as such they can be trusted as much as GA (as the stats can't be easily manipulated), the problem that you're facing is that most buyers aren't aware of the actual reasons behind the suggestion to always insist on sites having GA installed, instead they have heard people saying that GA is a must and therefore any sites that don't have GA installed look dodgy to them.

So all in all, a qualified buyer is likely to be happy with Piwik or GetClicky stats, but you will almost definitely run into issues with amateur buyers, and this may result in a lower price.

This has always been an interesting one. You're right that in most cases it can't be proven, but there are some options:

1) Have the affiliate network confirm by going through a sample of logs that the referrer for the traffic is indeed the site in question. Most networks don't make referrer information available in the affiliate back end but they do have it.

2) When in the escrow phase, allow the buyer to switch the affiliate links to their own for a day, making sure that the level of leads stays similar to what it has been before.

Hope this helps!

P.S. It's refreshing to see a first-time poster having done their research and asking questions that actually make sense. Doesn't happen very often here :) Welcome to BHW!

Finally, I have found a complete learning material to master website flipping. For days now, the thing of website flipping remained as a big "?" in my thoughts. :) This is a great post OP!

Hey how do you get de-indexed from DP? if I just bought a site from there?

Yeah i'm reading this like many years later so not sure if this stuff gets out-dated or not but either way i learned a lot, thanks for taking the time

Thanks alot meathead for an interesting post, I am always looking to acquire established sites more so for cashflow rather than flipping but finding them at what I consider a reasonable price is the challenge. DP seems saturated with rubbish and Flippa sites always seem overpriced.

I haven't used DP for years so no idea to be honest!

Could you suggest where else to look for reasonably priced sites if DP is no longer the go to source?

Thanks again

Now i wonder - what is DP? I am new to site flipping. Is it possible to set up a complete moneysite with PBNs and social accounts and make a profit?

Sorry for my english! It is not my native Language.
