I thought Rolex watches were just for people that thought Rolex was the only expensive brand

It's great that you know the quality of watches. There are many models better than Rolex, such as Audemars Piguet (probably my favorite), Bregeut (classic) and Patek Philippe. Not to mention the many other smaller, less well-known brands ie: Panerai; Rolexes are no comparison as they are mass-produced, with Rolex manufacturing 1,000,000 watches a year. They are similar to that of diamonds, where they appear to be rare to the common man, but in reality they aren't rare at all, and are very over-priced. With that said, I didn't buy it for quality, I could care less as long as I get a basic idea of the time. I purely bought it for the fact that it's probably the most highly-recognized watch brand out there, more so than the much higher quality watches out there. Call me vain, I don't care, but I still don't let material status symbols control my life, my goal is freedom, not slavery to objects.
BTW, how did you enjoy selling in the luxury market?

Maybe, I think the most common thought would be that I'm some trust-fund baby. At least in school, the first thoughts are either "FAKE!" or "He has rich parents," and to be honest I can't hate them for thinking that, because I would've thought the same way a year and a half ago.

That's definitely true for a lot of people that have Rolexes. The thing is, when buying it, they get excited when they hear the name Rolex because that's the only brand they know. Now, the same mindset comes about with people who see me wearing it. Sure, the .1% of people that are watch buffs might say, "What an idiot, Rolexes obviously aren't the best quality for the price." etc., but good on them for knowing that, I already knew long before I bought it. I'd rather be on the side of the 99.9% of people who recognize it. I wouldn't spend thousands on a watch just so I can get some watch buff tell me "Nice watch" twice a year. I didn't go buying a Patek Philippe because 99.9% (okay, maybe 98%) of people won't be able to tell the difference between that and a Timex with a strap. A Rolex is much easier to spot on the other hand.

Also, even if I was FoS, the question is still valid as showing status while making sales does play a part with fitting the role. I made the focus too much on ME rather than the question at hand, which took away from the main message.

Flashy? No. Expensive? Yes. If you have expensive shit like a Rolex then wear it cause it shows you have money, which many people will assume you made doing what you do. If you're flashy and shove your diamonds in their face after you wipe your nose with a $100 bill then they'll think you're a dick and won't want to work with you. You want them to see your expensive watch without looking like you want them to see it.

Just to be on the safe side, have your bank statement tucked in behind your silk handkerchief then pretend to blow your nose and the statement will conveniently fall into their lap. That will show them who they are doing business with.

In all seriousness though, it you're good enough with your words, you can wear high-casual (good jeans, black shirt, leather jacket), and still pull in customers.
Like earlier comments said, if you overdo it, you'll look "snooty". I'd say dress a tad better than regular, but unless you're invited to a dinner, don't break out the rolex. Just be yourself.
