I just came here to celebrate.
I finally got round to writing my first ebook.
laying it out and designing the cover. I put it
on the market and guess what???? I got a couple
of buyers. I am so excited, I just had to tell someone.

Anyway, I would appreciate a couple of tips on how
to best market the ebook. I am selling it from my website.
I am targeting to sell at least 1, 000 copies? Any pointers?
The book is targetted towards introducing beginners to online writing.

You probably could do with an ebook geared towards introducing beginners to online writing. Check out Amazon.

Congratulations, hope you don't get any refunds. Did you sell it on your own site or using clickbank/something similar?

Why not join ClickBank as a vendor? Or other marketplaces.

You need to search many affiliates for promoting your ebook. Once your copies get sold, you pay commission to them.

You didn't tell us what the ebook is all about and the ways you are promoting it. My little point is, encourage your buyers to leave reviews at the end of the day. It's helps keep the sales going but the disadvantage is when you start having too many negative reviews. For me negative reviews it's just time to do something else or improve on my product.

Happy for you! How are you marketing it? Social medias? SEO?

Provided the ebook is great, write an awesome sales letter and then indeed join Clickbank as a vendor. That way other people will market the book for you and all you got to do is:

In a few months time, though, write a sequel.

Clickbank's refunds on ebooks are so damn many, somewhere over 50%.

Thanks for the tips guys.

No, I have not gotten any requests for refunds, even
though I provide 100% money back guarantee.
I created a sales page on Blogspot, so I direct
traffic there.

So far, I have been promoting it mainly through Facebook.
Will advertise using other ways as well. I haven't had
any negative reviews. The buyers are happy with the book.

What is the price of your ebook?

I am selling it at $0.99
But I want to up the price, since I have
noticed my buyers think that it is a bit low
and most of them pay more than $0.99 anyway.

The initial price was $19.99 but none sold, so I decided
to use Amazon's pricing strategy and lower it to $0.99.
Still experimenting with price though.
