Google update an hour or two ago?

also look at how many websites are showing in the results. in my niche it was 500,000,000 results and today it is only 70,000,000 !!!!! so google just dropped 430,000,000 sites for my keyword?!!!

You say whaatt :D ??

yeah it affected my sites a lot :(
and the weirdest thing that i saw is one of my fanpages that is ranked #1 on google shows me this error in description:
"A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt ? learn more."
any thoughts?

So far i have only gains, all of them on clients that got hit by penguin update. I have not done any disavow fille, but i have removed all links that got me the penalty.

I'm seeing less and less eCommerce sites with each of these disgusting and downright evil updates than ever before..... Guys it is obvious this update is the amazon black Friday update to temporary wreck all eCommerce sites apart from amazon for black Friday...... and this isnt a far fetched idea one bit!

I haven't noticed anything neither on my sites nor clients sites. May be just affecting those hit by penguin 3.0?

Lol... Soon there won't be a "search engine" as such. They'll just start removing anything which isn't affiliated until every search returns Amazon and Yelp.

nothing huge for me too, but then i am not working on any project at the moment :D

I recovered some of the positions lost by earlier penguin, not sure if it was because of this or disavow.

After the change 3 days ago, it seems most of my results have reverted back to their previous positions prior to the 26th. Anyone else experience the same?

That number changes all the time and it isn't highly significant.

Update: It seems as though it's still happening. Lots of keywords are dropping again and others going up, then dropping within a few hours. I'm not sure what is happening at all, but it seems special. Meanwhile one of my "white hat" sites has gone from 6 keywords #1 to 17 keywords #1, pretty much all within the last 3 days. I put "white hat" in quotes for a reason, before you derail the thread to a KKK hunt. My uneducated guess is they fucked up with the initial release on Penguin, so this is the 3.1 release.

Anyone seen their keywords jump up and stick?

OMG this time it's Google Elephant... How can we fight against such a big animal???

everything same here. but if there is an update we can see the real result in few days.

My website got badly hit in the penguin update,i checked yesterday using semrush and few keywords jumped on 2st page but when i checked on google search i could not find anything. i do not know what is going on...

i see some changes but i am not sure it is an update.

I'm 100% with you - this is a rollout that's not finished yet. And I would also agree that it's, at least in part, a Penguin 3.0 rollback. I've checked several sites that were hit by 3.0, and each of them, after this update, have significantly shot up in rankings.

When connecting to Google.com.au via Hide-my-ass, and via any US based node on my secure VPN, I'm seeing a very different set of search results to those that are visible in Australia. That to me indicates that it is indeed an update, and it's still rolling out.

Interestingly (but not surprisingly) mozcast isn't really detecting this - however, Algoroo is showing pretty high volatility.
