Yes...you will need views,likes,subscribers...also you can upload without views or likes (this is "set and forget" method)...also you can do mass upload or 301+ unlisted method...

lol, my sarcasm senses are going haywire
my best day ever i made $430 in a single day
and it's not even a lie. some people had been spreading some really hyped lies about something that was supposedly going to be released at a certain date... the lie had spread like wildfire on the web, but some said they didn't believe it... i took a chance and made a very believable video showing that i had what they were looking for, and advertized it at the "big day", and BOOM! that earning meter wasn't still for a minute xD good times.... anyway, i'm babbling... sorry for going off topic here.. waiting to pass out, as falling asleep doesn't seem to happen this day either ><
but to somewhat get back on topic, referals give nickles and dimes, why bother spending time trying to get others to work for you when you can spend time actually working yourself and make alot more
