Advice on PBN not having an impact

Comando,

My initial reaction is there is an issue with your MS. I've ran into this with client sites in the past. The odds of you buying 84 domains that are all garbage is very small.

40 PBN links to a money site should move the needle, even with mediocre on-page in a competitive environment.

It sounds like you're over thinking the whole process, which is understandable because of the lack of results. Obviously time is a huge factor as well but if it's been 2+ weeks and there has been no movement in my opinion your MS is pooched.

Couldn't agree more :)
Dang they got formulas now? LOL

If you want good PBN sites, you can't rely on these 3rd party generic metrics. There is no substitution for good ole backlink analysis.

You gotta look at the overall quality of the individual links going to the website.

It's not rocket science people.

Agree with this completely. If you had said you weren't moving into the top ten, that would be a different matter - but if you see no effect whatsoever from almost 100 PBN sites, the money site is the first place I'd look.

i have 28 Websites in my PBN and they are enough to rank my all CB and Web - Hosting Niche Projects (15). They all rank pretty well from last 10-11 months and most of them are in Google top 5 since december 2013. No position changing. There is no formula for how to build a pbn and how to choose a domain to your PBN. Yet you can find some decent rules to create a PBN and how to optimize them for you to rank well in Google in just 15-20 days. you can find out more about PBN here - goo.gl/6rsZn1

An update guys. The one target where I pointed 40 links from PBNs, HAS moved definitely to page1. This is just a couple of days before 3.0, and it stayed there. The other target where I pointed 25 links, was already on page 1 and moved a couple posiitons.

The PBN and the MSs didn't get busted with 3.0. I think because I was quite conservative in not linking to all my MS from all my PBNs, which is what I was seeing my competitors doing, and almost all of them got busted.

I was about to give up with PBNs but now I see the power. Just gotta be careful and patient.

But you were probably right, my MSs have a lot of history, and they were probably dealing with issues of their own.

That's exactly right, and a lot of times, people who get "greedy" and think "I spent a lot of money on this PBN, I'm going to get my money's worth by linking to a bunch of money sites with them" end up blaming the "idea" of PBNs instead of blaming their own execution.

It depends upon your niche and keywords, but it could also depend upon your money site. Some domains fail to show improvement in rankings. You could try increasing the number of PBNs to start with, if it doesnt work, get another domain and try on it as well.
