GSA SER - Help With Some General Questions!

I am new to GSA and recently purchased GSA Ser with Captcha breaker, 50 private proxies, 1000 emails, indexification, etc...

I have been playing around with everything for a week and I have some things I cannot understand. I am interested in figuring out the "best" way to use the software for optimum performance and highest ability to create the most links....

I greatly appreciate any help or advice...

1. Regarding content used with GSA: I can't decide if it is better to import hundreds or thousands of already-spun articles or if it is better to import a handful of articles in spintax format so that GSA can spin everything? I would assume it is slower to have GSA spin articles but I'm not sure.
2. Where is the best place to get bulk content for GSA? I currently use Scrapebox's premium article plugin to scrape/spin articles but it's hard to get alot of content with it. I have used wordai previously, but how would I best use that for GSA? Do I just bulk upload articles and have word AI spin articles to use? Or do I have word AI create "spinnable" articles for GSA?
3. Regarding link targets for GSA: I am a little confused on this. I hear some people say it is best to "import" targets from scrapebox or GScraper, but why not let GSA do this as it already has engines to scrape for?
4. If I import link targets into GSA, what is the best method to do this? Do I literally just scrape as many urls(with footprints) with scrapebox/gscraper and try to post to them with GSA? Is it that simple? How do I disable GSA from scraping targets when I'm importing a list?
5. Is the idea with GSA links to build "verified" lists as big as possible and then post new projects to a giant verified list? Does anyone ever create projects just for the sake of building a verified list where they use huge random keyword lists and post bogus URL links just to build a verified list for future projects?

I apologize for the many words. I hope that anyone's answers to these questions will also help others struggling!

1) I personally import articles that are already spun. For lower tier stuff I'll use Kontent machine to handle it all for me. If I'm doing some web 2.0's or higher tier, I might get a few cheap articles written on iwriter or some place similar, then spin them "manually" in spinrewriter. By manually I don't mean each sentence spun by hand, I just tweak a few more settings in the spinner I'm using, then I spin. I've read that WordAI is the best spinner on the market so I might be trying that out soon.

2) Any decent article scraper should do fine for bulk content. I don't have experience with WordAI so I'm not sure which settings to use for that. I would just go for whatever produces the highest quality spins. Keep in mind you don't have to load 100's of spun articles into each project, you can do 20-50, etc. Also, you can always import more or swap some out later.

3) You can do it either way. People like to import verified lists because the lists have already been proven to work with SER so the success rate is much higher in a shorter amount of time. SER can go scrape and get links on its own, but since its having to scrape the search engines looking for backlinks, it takes more time than just importing a verified list. If you don't have any verified lists you can just let SER scrape and build links on its own, then if you ever buy/scrape a list later, import it in.

4) There's a few ways to import a list, but probably the easiest is to just right click on the project > import target URLS. If you're scraping your own lists its important to try and use highly targeted footprints for the platforms you're trying to scrape for. The better the footprint, the better the results will be. Try to remove duplicate URL's before importing for best results and no need to trim URL's to root. To disable SER from scraping targets you want to go into the project options and look for the search engine selection box > right click > check none. Also, uncheck the "use urls from global site lists if enabled". Now SER won't use urls from global site lists and won't scrape via the search engines, it will only use your import lists.

5) The idea of the tool is to simply build backlinks. The global site lists options will automatically take your verified lists and feed it into a master list so if you ever have a project where you need a big blast of links as fast as possible, you can enable the global site lists and post the the links that have already been successful. If you want to setup projects just to build up the global site lists, that's fine. There are a few service providers that use a tool to "sync" their freshly scraped and posted verified lists with yours so you're always getting the newest and freshest scraped and successful lists. That's a faster way to build up your global site lists. For Second Tier Content i am using seo content machine and xspinner it's working really fine for me you can get xspinner for free here on this site and you can use trial version of seocontentmachine you can try it's free

I have one title.txt file where I keep about 10k spinned titles and 1 folder with about 1k spinned articles. My setup is:

Article title: %spinfile-C:\title.txt%
Content: %spinfolder-C:\articles%

This is a very comfortable and time saving way to use GSA, because I never think about article title, content etc.

One question that I forgot to ask and keeps coming up in my mind is - do most GSA SER "experts" add more ENGINES to their GSA software? And if so, where do they get them from(other than serengines)? I would think that the "experts" have created many of their own engines that no one else has and that is a big reason for their success? Is creating an engine considered very difficult to do?

I wouldn't say just because someone scripts their own engine, they will be much more successful with the tool, but if you're serious about using SER, it would be a cool thing to learn or to at least get in contact with some guys that know how to do it so you can have custom engines only you or very few people have.

The thing that makes the engine scripting hard is that there isn't a whole lot of documentation on it. You can see the basics here: http://docu.gsa-online.de/search_engine_ranker/script_manual

Most people who really want to learn can just ask on the support forum and get an answer if they're hung up on how something works with the scripting language. You can also look in the SER installation directory and take a look at the engines folder. All the engines aka scripts are in there and you should be able to open them up in notepad and see how the scripting looks.

There are definitely "power users" who script their own engines or know someone who does, and they buy engines from them. One guy that sells them is user "Cherub" on the support forum. There is also a guy who posted in my BST thread here recently asking if there was a marketplace where he could sell his custom engines.

There are definitely guys out there that can script engines, just gotta find them ... or learn yourself.
