for one week now i'm managing the communication campaign for a friend's of mine crowdfounded movie project. As she has something like $0 budget and I didn't wanted to spend too much Time I decided to promote her YouTube trailer and facebook page using twitter's old trick consisting in spaming people who tweet relevant keywords. As it's a surexploited method, I wasn't expecting good results but I've been really surprise by the clic rate. After 260 replies I had 62 clics on the YouTube's link so it' about 24% (!!) considering the fact that I'm doing this using a brand new account with basically 0 optimization (160 follows, 9 followers), 0 "real" tweet I'm totaly reconsidering this method.
It's maybe over in english but using local languages it's might be still an opportunity!
So what do you think about my following plan :
writting an ebook about a big issue people are facing (and of course tweeting) in my country
promoting it using Twitter attacks, a bunch of local proxies and 10/20 accounts sending over 30 to 40 replies/day ?
Do you think this will work proprely or will those accounts be banned after 3 days? Also do you think it would be better to use a landing page or directly link towards Amazon?
or does someone think there are better use of such a tool like affiliation or so?...
