Legal problams with using themes without license?

Hi all, first of all sorry for my English.

I have question, I've downloaded a theme from this forum, but I'm a little bit consfused about using it beacause I don't have the license. Can I have legal problems with the theme developer, for example. Can he/she know that I'm using his theme without a license?.

I'm a newbie and I'm sorry if it is sounds like a stupid question. Thanks.

Unless your site becomes very successful then you shouldn't have a problem.

There aren't problems. Times ago i was contacted from theme provider because I was using one of their nulled themes.
They just said that the nulled themes are dangerous and that I had to take off for the safety of my site (this is true).
Therefore no legal notice but only a friendly exhortation.

Credits to who? I've just downloaded the theme from these forum.

I recommend buying the theme. If your budget is tight then do it and when you get some money buy the theme.
Guys put a lot of effort in their work and deserve to get paid.

Thats the moral point of view.

Used a wordpress site today then after checking the page source found that the developer had hidden their own sites url in the theme. I will pay someone rather than they take the p like this
