For those of you visiting this section of BlackHatWorld, do you still believe that Myspace deserves to be a section here? Why or why not?

Hmm....

In few years ago, MySpace was ranked #4 at Alexa.com. Now, MySpace is ranked around #1000 at Alexa.com. However, MySpace traffic is still high. It is still as goldmine in internet marketing.

But.... unfortunately MySpace is rarely discussed in this forum.

Lol just because its not talked about doesn't mean people aren't using it to make $$ think outside the box in certain niches and you may find it to be a goldmine still!

Well many don't know about Myspace and not at all discussing here.. Anyways OP you have started here to discuss about Myspace.. Am not experienced with it.

I never said you couldn't make money off of it, I only asked what the opinions of the members of BlackHatWorld were about keeping an exclusive Myspace section when it's hardly ever used.

I don't have any experience with the new Myspace, but I knew a bit about marketing on Myspace back when it was popular in 2006.

I also noticed the decrease in Myspace's Alexa ranking. I would actually be interested in seeing it discussed more on BlackHatWorld considering if the website is still generating revenue, it must be getting at least some visitors.

What's the point of having a forum if no one is talking about it then?

Its gold mine for people who are promoting music and music related products.

Are there any good bots for myspace?

I knew that there were bots for the old Myspace, but I don't know of any developers who have created any bots for the new Myspace.

Myspace barely competes with SoundCloud, but I'm sure you could make money off of it through music products.

Where is a majority of the MySpace traffic even coming from at this point?

Justin Timberlake era Myspace is such a huge mess. I honestly don't know anyone who actively uses it in 2014. I think when it first re-launched people made profiles, but then quickly were over it.

I actually visited Myspace when I heard the news that Justin Timberlake took it over because I was hoping people would use it again (I'm probably one of the few people who liked the tacky Myspace profiles everyone created; it really showed everyone's personality and interests unlike Facebook). Unfortunately, Myspace deleted all of the old profiles (which is a real shame because I liked to reread my old message), so I never bothered using the "New Myspace".
