OP, there are some things in your post that I would like to address:
Other things that you left out and are cruicial...
1. Never make the name of your Amazon storefront anything like the name of your business and/or website. It is the kiss of death. I was the snitch for this, among other news stories. http://www.dailydot.com/business/how-amazon-exploits-small-online-retailers
2. You will make a lot of money on Amazon. You are also selling your soul to the devil. Not worth it in my opinion.
3. If you think PayPal is bad, Amazon is worse. They will freeze your money when you start to make a lot. It is hell trying to get your money. They will give it to you when they feel like it, IF they feel like it.
4. Ever since they outsourced Seller Support to another country, you have to deal with a bunch of inept people. I will never forget the time someone said "What is a bead?" Or the time someone said "Just ask them to PayPal you the money" when Amazon refunded someone by mistake.
5. The customer is always right, even when they are wrong. I have had people break jewelry in half and say the jewelry was broken during shipping. This was jewelry packed in a gift box, then tissue paper, then bubble wrap, then another box. Everything came back in perfect condition including the gift box, but a strong piece of jewelry inside the box looked like someone took a chainsaw to it. Amazon customers are smart. They know what will get them their refund. You as the seller have no say in the matter.
6. That feedback will stay on Amazon even after you are dead. It will be there for all eternity. So will all your pictures. Do not sell those things anywhere else, especially on your website. You are competing with Amazon for the rest of your life. You won't win.
7. Your customers from Amazon will not follow you after you leave. They bought from you because they bought it at Amazon.
8. If you do get bad feedback, it won't be removed unless there was cussing in it. Even feedback that says it was delivered late, a day after the customer bought it.
9. Have the item in stock before you sell it. Otherwise it is an accident waiting to happen. Because if you say there is a 7 day time before it ships, Amazon switches it to 3-7 days to make it look sooner than it is. Then the customer gets mad at you for being late.
10. Good luck. You're going to need it.
You don't need a UPC code. There is a way around that.Whеn уоu Ñ€rÑ–vаtе lаbеl а Ñ€rоduÑt уоu аrе ÑrеаtÑ–ng а whоlе nеw brаnd аnd а whоlе nеw Ñ€rоduÑt wÑ–th Ñ–t's оwn bаrÑоdе (UРС Ñоdе). That is against Amazon's terms and it can get the seller kicked off Amazon. It's under "guidelines." http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/?nodeId=200441880 Also, I am curious how you get the customer's phone number. Amazon didn't give it out when I was a Pro Merchant. I was also a Platinum merchant and didn't have it then either. Also, the customer's email address is encrypted and the seller doesn't even have access to that. All messages go through Amazon's messaging system and Amazon can read all the emails between you and your customer.Fоr Ñ–nstаnÑе, еvеrу оnе оf mу Ñustоmеrs gеts а Ñ€hоnе Ñаll frоm mу Ñustоmеr sеrvÑ–Ñе реrsоn еnsurÑ–ng thеу gоt thе Ñ€rоduÑt оn tÑ–mе аnd thаt thеу аrе hарру wÑ–th thе Ñ€rоduÑt.
