Google "waiting period" after May 14 payday update?

obviously hurt and taken it personally
More than a pleasure to have enlightened you
isnt related to waiting period being discussed here
obviously you haven't read the whole thread
accept that its wrong post

Pretty much everything that you've blabbered is based solely on your assumptions which I'm afraid is incorrect. I rest my case.

ahem..if u have read the thread you wouldnt say its incorrect as this is clearly a waiting period discussion..and 301s passing penalty is not my assumption...And i dont have to troll or post boost as i'm already a blue..if u still cant get around the fact about 301s, i will leave u with your beliefs

I did some tests with some new sites.

Result:
Site A:
- Nowhere to be found
- Site went to page #2 after I added good backlinks (Web2.0 / Social bookmarking / Social media ;Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, PBN).
- Strange thing is: Site A goes every week +1 up. Litterly EVERY WEEK 1 UPDATE!!!
- This site is now on #10 for 6k high competive after 2 weeks.

Site B:
- Same as Site A

SO HERE IS THE STRANGE THING:

SITE C:
- This is a site with the 'buy' word in domain / keyword
- Site is on #20 but yesterday it was on #15
- Low competition with only 800-1000 searches
- I used the same backlinks!

SITE D:
- This is a site with the 'hack' word in domain / keyword.
- Same as SITE C...

This what I think:
- Google uses an automatic check for blocked words, they put you in 'waiting period' if they find some badwords on your site.

This is what I've observed so far, btw all sites are on page 1 on Bing (but I don't care about that lol).

This is a large part of why I'm moving towards client based SEO - no waiting period. They have super old domains that in most cases have links. I'm not having any problems moving my clients higher with my PBN, even if they've never undergone SEO before.

Same logic, but I'm just moving out of SEO, it just seems impossible to rank sites. Also, usually after a Google algo, your site can take a hit taking your earnings to the ground. I'm moving towards easier ways to get traffic and sales, earnings and profit.

Moving towards what? :)

i just got round to launching a bunch of new sites and they are all acting the same as before update

ranking 1st page within 2 weeks, less than 60 days old. i put content on 2 weeks ago, before that they had a blank homepage

ecom keywords, network links.

you guys must be tripping a filter somewhere, possibly try new hosting?

Very interesting. I have a couple of questions, I hope you don't mind answering them.

Was this a new domain that you registered almost 2 months ago?

After registration you hosted a completely blank website or just a blank homepage?

Did you build the links before or after you put content on the website, and were they only to the home page?

Thanks

BHW account from 2007 with only 5 posts...all 5 posts being made recently.

Seems legit LOL :D

And someone actually thanked you for your post.

An interesting thing that im seeing in my sites is that i can rank perfectly well for long and very longtails in top3 (kws with less than 100 searches a month) but for my main kws is truly a PIA to get them to page 1. They are all in 2nd page for their main kws for many months and they cant get to page 1 eventhough the competition is truly a joke.

Also another thing that I am thinking is that MAYBE i should foscus in ranking in hundreds or thousands of longtails in page 1 rather than trying to rank for 1 kw eventhough that would mean a lot more work. My reasoning would be that if instead of ranking in top3 for a 20k searches kw, i could rank in 100 kws top3 with 10-100 searches each.

This may mean that maybe the seo game is jus changing to targetting longtails than just a handful of main high searched kws IMHO.

That's where I see it going. In fact, it's already there. Longer tailed keywords are the way to go, it's no longer long tail keywords. With long tail keywords, you can gain more traffic and rank for more keywords and you won't have to spend so much time trying to rank for one keyword or undergo the frustration.

For example, which is better?

#1 to #5 rankings for 10 keywords that get 100 searches per month or a page 2 ranking for one keyword that gets 2,000 searches per month?

You get the point.

That's exactly what Google wants you to do.

This new thing is annoying but I guess I just have to be more patient. It is hard though to be patient.

Moving to paid traffic. Not ppc but paying ad space and other ways. SE is not profitable for me at all.

Sell you Gsa tools for about $100 and use that money to buy some good high pr links for a 1K-2K search good money keyword. i will provide you a old domain/blog. that will be better then letting your tools get rust.

For sure, but what I mean by paid traffic is not ppc, but other ways to get traffic. Even before this update, I haven't gotten any profif from SEO at all. So im basically running seo at a negative ROI which can end by either:

1) Finally profit from my sites or
2) Stop wasting money in this negative ROI SEO venture

Then, instead of LOSING money on SEO monthly I would use that money togrow my Paid Traffic venture. Some say seo its easy but maybe ive been dead wrong about it since I got started LOL

Thats kind of you bro, but what I'm saying here is that there's really no need to keep working in something thats clearly a loss. I prefer to stop losing money on seo than keep wasting money while hoping things will go my way :p

Sometimes its just better to admit what happens and act accordingly. :)

Assuming that you'd built more links in order to get it to hit page 1, that supports the theory that the age of the links is what matters - and if the ranking-delay algorithm was applied retrospectively to the current index, rather than just new sites, and your links were 'too young' to earn a ranking under the new algorithm, that would perhaps indicate that the 'link age' needs to be more than 3-4mths to earn a ranking.

I'd go past that and say the age of the domain where the links are coming from determines how quickly the authority is past through it.

I think it's an overall way of de-valuing web 2.0 links.

Have noticed PBN links working, however still had a waiting period of roughly 2 weeks from links indexed in google - ranking on page 1.

I also noticed that they don't show up in webmaster tools when first indexed, but do show when they are counted.

This can indicate if your PBN sites are being trusted or not, as I have had a few that never register in WMT even when the content is indexed.

This is so true, ranking aged clients sites is a dream, they have ages links you couldn't even dream about having!
