Google "waiting period" after May 14 payday update?

Any more news about this?

I started building some MNS sites after a couple of years. All low/medium competition and I see websites with 20 non-relevant PBN links dominating top spots for all important keywords. I have analyzed hundreds of KWs in the past few months and I have seen everything on 1st pages. Low quality sites, low quality PBNs, no diversification, KW stuffing (12%!), and I can't get anywhere near them for almost 3 months. But there's 1 thing in which they are all better than my sites - they are all older than 6 months.

Compared to competition that is dominating 1st pages of Google, I have more diversified links, more unique content than 80% of them, almost everything better by every metric I can think of, and I'm nowhere near page 1.

I know that Google crawls the whole web and indexes sites much faster than Bing. You see that Bing graph? That's how it's supposed to be and that's how it usually was.

When I added few top quality links on a site about 12 months ago, positions in Google bounced few pages up and down for a couple of days, than they got stronger and stayed there. Now when I add 5 top quality links, nothing happens or it all goes to hell.

My homepage is optimized for a specific KW and after I added 5 HQ links few days ago, it went from 7th page directly to hell. Still hasn't recovered, so I really don't know what to do. Some people say it's normal and that 4 months need to pass before I can analyze anything, but I'm getting frustrated.

If Google wanted to kill churn&burn tactics, this is not the way to go. I will probably build 10 more fresh websites in the next couple of weeks with shitloads of content and I will leave them there for 4 months with minimum inbound links until this shit sorts itself.

Has anyone been able to rank a site post May 2014? I've gotten to the bottom of page one, for a day. Now bouncing around page two. I don't want to hear about how I've never ranked a site, I've spend tons of money on high quality links and cannot crack page one.

Anyone?

I agree with mickyfu here

I just registered my first website about 50 days ago. Fresh domain, not even a .com but a .us domain. Started doing SEO work exactly 25 days ago on 18 pages, 18 keywords. Nothing major just tiered linking. Some keywords are up to the 5th page, while the rest medium to hard difficulty ones are climbing up everyday, some are not ranking yet but what do you expect it's only been three weeks and minimal tiered linking. So I'm not sure how this waiting period applies here. Maybe I just got lucky, I am working on another site right now lets see how that goes but even others that I know have not experienced any sort of waiting period. It might be so that it is niche dependant? or maybe you are targetting really hard keywords. could be that your methods are sloppy! that being said, even people are ranking their sites with GSA. So I am honestly not sure what this "waiting period" really is. If it's out there, I hope I never experience it!

I will clarify for you, there are many of people here who have ranked new and old domains, and ranked sites withing a few days, not months. Also if you take a look at other websites around the internet, you will see many of websites ranking that are new. Alternatively you can just keep bumping this thread and others like it, where you will get all sorts of made up stories which suit their inability to rank a website.

Technically yes, because it never even started.
