I'm doing cookbooks as well. As far as I know Recipes in general aren't copyrighted. At least that's what I understand, It's actually a huge grey area tbh.
The ingredients aren't copyright protected. But the directions can be.
This is what I understand:
1.Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
2.Place Cookies in Oven

Though don't take my word, cause I'm still not sure myself. If anyone has an answer that would help lots. Though in general, I think If you make it your own, like write it in your own words then you're okay!
Just sourcing breaks that term you posted, cause anyone can copy and paste a recipe and source it, but no one can write it in your words. You see?
