Need help with few things.

Question 1:

Marketing Budget : $1200 Max
Goal : 10,000 Real Registered users on a social networking website from usa/uk/canada.

How?


Question 2 :

If the budget isn't enough. How much do you think I should have to get 10,000 real registered users.


Question 3 :

Do you think that 10,000 users would be a good start?

Question 4 :

What do you think would be the most effective marketing method?

A lot depends on your target audience. If it's just everyday people, why wouldn't they just join facebook instead?

Lets say that I am targeting people who are interested in selling/buying products and blogging.

I'm going to second this. Unless you are creating a targeted demographic, everyday people just join facebook and twitter

1: Give an iPad away.

2: Depends on niche. Probably not enough for most commercial niches.

3: Depends on what you're trying to do. 10000 people interested in buying a home could generate some valuable leads. 10000 people looking for porn is gonna make you pennies.

I think you should be looking at $10,000+.

There are a few ways you can achieve these with $10,000+

1. Rank a site on the SERP for your keywords. Once you rank a site you don't pay for any traffic anymore.

2. PPC like adword and facebook.

3. Promote your site using social media like facebook fan page, videos, twitter e.t.c

4. See if you can work out a partnership for traffic from relevant websites within your niche. Some allow ads on their site and only need some few bucks to have your site featured.

Alternatively, you may want to use your $1,200 on PPC or SEO and just take what you get from your low budget.

Thankyou guys for your replies. Just wanted to ask one more thing. Lets say a sponsored post on fb reaches 4-5 million targeted users. how many sign ups should I expect ?
