I thought this could be a good thread to discuss hot items! I know of hot items, but would like some other input too.

If someone is banking hard on a item im sure they don't want to make more competition.
well everyone needs to believe in the kindness of the human spirit? so no harm trying anyway .. if he does get replies, all the better for him and who's to judge!
hot products could or could not work as it really depends on your location - i see you are based in the UK, hot products in the USA, might not work directly in the UK and even if it could, sometimes the conversion would be far poorer, so it depends on your own market and niche and your target population.
but i do agree that a GOOD product goes a long way to reducing your reliance on those other factors above

Sorry mate, but no one will share their little products in a relatively small market place.
Although I will share something I did on the side... I sold ebay templates for 99p.. sold about 10 a day and set it up to be downloaded automatically. crap money, but was interesting.

Yeah the problem is, posting about a hot item that actually makes money on a public forum isn't a good idea for anyone because it will become unprofitable with a sudden surge of people selling the same item. And there will always be one guy that lists it for a low price and then it's only a matter of time until the race to the bottom begins.
I agree about doing your own research. It will take loads of time, but once you find a nice core group of products you'll be in business. And the best part is, you don't have to worry about a ton of competition since you found it out on your own as opposed to being told about it.

A better question to ask would be "How do I find a hot item that makes at least 100 profit?".
My answer would be, research. No one is going to do the leg work for you, you can find millions of ways to make money, but YOU have to do the work. And once you do find one that makes money, come back here and post it in your hot items thread for us!
